But can you tell me why?
What’s to do with my time?
Can we remain the same?
Can there be anyone who’ll pity her?
How many faces have all of you been?
Will it really be the same?

Hmmm. He's not answering.

"Hello..?"
"Yes, a collect call for Mssr. Hayward from a crazy groupie. Will you accept the charges from United States?"
"Oh, He hung up! That's your residence, right? I wonder why he hung up?"
"Hello?"
"This is United States calling, are we reaching . . ."
"See? He keeps hanging up."

Oh, here's my million-dollar question:

Dear Justin: When are you going to publish the fan handbook. No matter what I try, I botch. Are we supposed to dance? What are we supposed to wear? Are we supposed to buy the expensive tickets or sit in the back? Who are we supposed to watch at what parts of the show? How should we fix our hair? Are we supposed to wave our arms during "Sea-Saw" and wave glow sticks during "Nights"? Are we supposed to ask for autographs provided we don't sell them on eBay? Are we supposed to take copious notes at concerts to suggest ways to improve technical nuances at he next show? Are we supposed to take pictures? Are we supposed to post on this board letters of affection? Are we supposed to bring flowers? Should anybody but he best guitar players stay away? Perhaps I should really be asking under which conditions each behavior is possible? That is, how much mascara should a fan wear if she wants to wait by the buses after the show? This is all so complicated. Is there a hippie in the house?

Fans can chime in, too; as I don't expect Mssr. Hayward to answer. It's just that I don't like being a creepy-creep. Honest.

Hey, Justin. How are you? I hope your sphere of influence is harmonious and you are feeling copacetic (trying not to rephrase the worn-out "well and happy"). Do you want to answer some questions? I love your sense of humor, but you don't have to if it is low on your list of priorities. I'll try to unthink up some more as I go about my day if it helps.

There was something else I was supposed to do today - Oh, yes. That long list of things from the boss.

Bye-a!
