What's the story behind this web site? Does the JDH approve?

I'd say he was writing them.

Heck what do I know?

I still wonder how the justinhayhaywardguitar.com site exists if Justin only legitimately posts at his own web site.

Sometimes websites only allow you to post so much memory to a site, so he might have had to "annex" other sites. Or maybe he has some unseen organization going on, certain chapters on certain sites. People are making far too much out of this. It's highly probable that those are all Justin sites. We'll see if anyone on THIS site picks it up or not "officially."

I think he could command tighter graphic design, too. But then, I'm on a losing streak. What's my name?

I just posted something, and I don't know where it went. Oh, well.

I just wanted to say my imaginary friend just posted a valentine to his Starburst friend. A friend of my friend . . . .

Yes I rather liked that! Fender guitars and I came from the same place in the 60s. In fact, Fender and I went to the same High School but he was a few years ahead of me. My old library is now the Fender museum!!! :)

Valentine Schmanlentine, every day should be special if you're with the one you love. Why wait for that one day of the year??? Wink

Happiness to all!

I was happy to have my first real friend. Cool how that works. But I need help. Would I be breaking any rules to extend that "friend of my friend" stuff to starburst friends and imaginary friends? That is:

Justin is my imaginary friend. (given)
The starburst is Justin's friend. (given)

The starburst is my friend (friend of my friend)
Justin is the starburst's friend (given already)

Justin is my friend (friend of my friend).

I suppose not, as one must be a friend to have a friend, and I doubt I shall ever see the other side of Udo. Curses! Foiled again!

On the bright side, I love how he talks about modifying his guitar like it comes so naturally. The guitars I had, I was afraid to mess with other than basic tuning.

Do you REALLY want to see the other side of Udo???? ;)

Modifying guitars yourself is something you do when you're young and foolish.... and fearless. You make mistakes, do damage, sometimes fix it.......... but you learn a lot. (I'm thinking of how I pulled the old strings off my mandolin and the bridge fell off in my hands... oops, took a while to figure out where it belonged!!! but yes that can change the tuning and tone, basic physics). Fenders were really inexpensive back in those days. The one Justin is talking about is super primitive compared to what we are all used to these days in an electric guitar. I've peered at it up close, have a few photos. Fascinating stuff, one day I'll get my blue Strat out from under the bed (it's an investment) and plug it in, see how it plays.

Ok so I'm weird, who else would buy a reworked guitar, then never play it? (me..... life is too friggin' busy!!!) Confused

1. Oui! Oui! But only by invitation.

2. I would love to pull things apart and try to get them together if I could manage my money well enough to buy them in the first place.

3. How does Justin's guitar have blue eyes?

Sorry. My monstrous green eyes were painfully distorting the world again. Love is too sacred to mock. My bad.

New interview today.....

http://moodybluesattitude.yuku.....w00hIWANdc

I don't feel violent about the RRHOF................ I think it's a mark of honor myself. The Moodies were always outside the box anyway.... putting them IN would put them in the box. No thank you. Cool

If you're really good, you don't need marketing. Music is better than hype; live concerts are better than memorabilia. What do you want? Some kind of sell-out? Moodies kissing up to get a membership in the elite crony club?

So, I heard this long ad about I Heart Radio this morning doing some kind of fan voting. I imagined all these peer-pressure types going crazy buying music to get their heroes recognition. It's a great idea if making money were all that mattered. The sidelines are so much more tranquil.

This goes back to why I love the Moodies. Their music speaks truth to me. It resonates with me. It makes me feel like I'm at peace with the universe, or at least sends a beacon for a better way. I've felt disgrace for doing fanatical hysterics to try to get closer to that inner peace, even though every wise man has probably said that's not the way to do it.

And the children in Calcutta starve and play with joy . . . .
