thank you too Jill! I enjoyed that. smiley: ohwell

* Thank you, Jill,
* Thank you, luna. Was that you causing the naughtiness at Caesar's?
* Thank you, Justin. Thank you for putting music above merch and telling me how to find you on the boat if I (Lodgey-style) time travel back there some day. I also liked that bit about falling in love with people unbeknownst to them - falling out of love with them unbeknownst sounded a little scary, though. Watch. I can get through this without a tantrum about the big, jealous-green her - maybe.
* Thank you, Julie for having the voice of an angel and stepping up to play keyboards. I'm impressed.
* Thank you, "Iris?"
* Thank you, Alberto for creating an album that can tour.
* Thank you, Mike for helping with guitars.

What ever happened to Trace? Maybe the wax fell out of my ears with synchronicity, but I noticed a big improvement in the guitar sound of the band when he was touring with them. Will David be there? I have to like him. He's the only guitar tech to stand at attention when I passed. I have no clue what that was about.

Maybe if I could find a geek to help me out-search-engine luna, I could become more relevant and less whiny here. Oh, and did I say thank you, luna? These interviews really help.

Another one. 'Tis promo season for Justin

http://moodybluesattitude.yuku.....1pt_1eANdc

Yes a little naughtiness in Tahoe Caesar's but not as much as some others....

Yeah I liked Trace too. Nice young man. He had a serious lady on the cruise a year ago, I hope he's with her.

Start here: Justin said he hopes nobody gets offended or takes him too seriously on that. I'll grant him his wish because I like him. Love is too sacred to make a mess of it when you don't know whereof you speak, so WARNING: The following is drivel from a dufus trying to keep the conversations going here:

There are a gazillion explanations, and Justin probably doesn't know exactly which one is true. Suppose it is an apology to all us muck-eyed fans. I don't like to think of Justin as being into marketing, but maybe he realizes he would lose a lot of stalker fans if he swore his love to only somebody with blue eyes. He said there was some truth in the song, but most brown eyes have a speck of blue here or there, so he's safe.

Next, let us consider the baseline in what Justin considers in and out of love. If I had to guess, I would say he is a very loving person. The only person I don't think he is in love with is Lonnie Donnegan. Being out of love from Justin is probably a lot more loving than a lot of things that pass for love in this world, so I wouldn't worry. Don't we all love the music and trek to the concerts because of the love we feel? I think so.

Have you ever made a comment that gained a life of its own? I have. Then again, maybe the comment is just his way of saying there isn't enough of him to go around. If he doesn't wink at you, don't die of a heartache. Come to another show and he just might.

Maybe he fights with his wife. Who doesn't? Besides, he's French. The rich French dudes all have mistresses, don't they? What's it to me if he does? If Justin were in love with me, he could have told me - but I'm a fan, I'm not a musician, and if I were, I'd be a studio musician. So I think we all know where I stand with Justin: I'm that "crazy fool in the front row" that Justin laughed at.

Besides, Justin loves Swedish boyz, and he dances with Alberto in the wee hours.

Oh, and the album was selfish, which if you're a true Randroid, you realize is the only way you can be. If you will recall on one of the old fan fun questionnaires from the happy days of the OFC, Justin said he knew he was falling in love every time he walked past a mirror. So, every time he walks past a mirror, he falls in love - with somebody with blue eyes no less - and then when he is past the mirror - Voila! Out of love again. (I actually stole and adapted that line last night.)

Simple.

I listened on the speakers today. I missed-dunderstood. He said he didn't want the people about whom he was writing to take the lyrics too seriously.

I'm going to spend time this week really listening.... totally not caught up. There was a pretty ripe stink in the kitchen when I got home tonight, turned out to be three days worth of dishes stacked up............ I woke up this morning and things were in very strange places................ sigh, the weekend is VERY needed!!!

I think what Justin is REALLY saying is he worries about his fans who seem to enjoy beating their heads against a wall. He loves us all, but the words are just pretty songs. If he sees a face in the crowd that inspires something, it's lovely, but don't take it so seriously.... it's just a song.

:) tuppence worth :)

Back to JP, if you're saving your lunch money to buy a lot of contraptions to sit around in your mom's basement making sound, you're probably not saving lives. Is a musician good because he expresses or lectures, or because he communicates? And, if somebody says they want to go to a show for a lecture, what is the probability, in broad terms, they're lying?

But Justin was making the most of a sitchy-ation in "BS" - or was that just a lyric - or maybe it's just love that's a-lookin' for you - her.

Here's another theory. He loves somebody named Marguerite, and he's dropping a hint. Either that, or flowers are like voodoo dolls for him, so anytime one of us picks up a daisy and says, "He loves me, he loves me not," we are making him fall in and out of love with us, just like that. Just in case, I picked up a ripe dandelion as I walked dog-pog tonight. She's quite a handful for an old lady in glasses, so I just ripped the whole head off and insisted, "HE LOVES ME!"

But wait, Justin is not keeping me close, so that didn't work, either. Back to the lab.

Margarite was back in the early 90s. If you believe all that gossip........... good heavens, let the man have the friends he wants!

New interview, May 6, promo for Turning Stone

http://moodybluesattitude.yuku.....2mDuiiANdc

I like what he said about "sorta dodgy" BOY I guess! My parents wouldn't let me out of the house when the Moodies toured in "the old days"..... for better or worse. In retrospect I don't blame my parents....

Thanks for sharing. What? He's gonna room at the Turning Stone????? Why is he telling us? If I were he, I would be tempted to put Vaseline on my door handle, drop my cologne in front of the door of an unsuspecting guest, and make really weird noises - you know, like jumping on the bed and flushing the toilet 1000 times.

Is that why the Caesar's extravaganzas were so fun?

Possibly. I was meeting new friends, and staying in nice resorts, traveling.... I've kept the addiction to travel, but nice resorts being cut back, as well as friends. My friends talked dirty about Justin a lot.... you can't believe how fans act when they get together in a hotel room. Filthy stuff. I wasn't raised raunchy like that honestly. Plotting how to stalk him....... drugs flying around... I drank too much. Said stupid things. But it was fun, we had five gals stuffed in a room once. It got so crazy and I was so hung over, the first time we all did it, that I crawled off to the hot tub and stayed there all day......... came out looking like a prune.

Yes........... back in "the day" my parents were horrified to let me go to rock concerts......... they were far too over protective. Maybe they were right tho. Ah well....... "no regrets" no matter what. No more of that........................ ptttttt........ much of the magic is gone alas. But I do love to travel. The cruise ship was the same, just a big luxury hotel, and I'm past that stage. No cruises for me unless it's going someplace really interesting.

I do like some of these casinos. The Indians seem to be doing it right in many places........... Aqua Caliente is very very nice (great rooms) and the one out toward Spokane is very nice too (and excellent security, I was impressed) Depending on how tired I am, I might get a room at River Rock (Vancouver, Richmond), but maybe not.... will have to think about it. That's sorta a long drive up there...

I appreciate that talking like that is good for promoters who will say, "Look at all the economic multipliers we get from Moody Blues concerts." My experience, however, is more like driving overnight, plopping in a show, and driving back to be by work at 8:00 the next day. A couple times a year, I find myself asking why I put myself through all that, and was it worth it, but seriously, the best thrill in life is seeing Justin - even when he says things that lead me to believe the audience is irrelevant, some sort of disposable appendage to what really matters.

You've got me wondering now how one says anything filthy about Justin. It must have been a lie. I always imagined he could muck stables and step in horsey without getting dirty.

As for stalking, I always thought it would be a good idea to come in on the room service cart with my head under the metal lid. I don't seriously think Justin would notice the hair when he cuts into his "breakfast," do you? He could take a few bites off my scalp, and then I'd slither down unnoticed. I can't hide under the bed because they normally block the underneath off to prevent people from losing watches or finding roaches. The only other thing I could think of is hiding in the pipes, but I"m much too fat. What were the girls plotting? Maybe I could dress in black and pose as a huge spider in the corner of the ceiling. How about buying a ticket, sitting in a seat for the concert, and then going out and waiting by the buses. Now that would be really schmutzig.
