lunazure said I have my own theories about the Q&A but who knows?
Do you suppose it is you writing the Q&A's?
lunazure said I personally miss those long blogs he used to do, quite nice.
I miss his blogs, but as I recall, they always ended too soon.
lunazure said I think Justin will keep making music for a while yet. And smaller smaller tours. As he said they are not getting younger.
I was lamenting this this morning, but then it occurred to me, if he hunkers down and writes an amazing album, then promoters will help him tour.
lunazure said And the audiences are dropping off. I've been watching the last show in his tour in Santa Clarita, and the tickets are not selling like they should.
I checked several venues that I might consider attending. Again, there is no money right now, so I'm hoping tickets will still be available somewhere. Anyway, about eight of the venues had only a handful of tickets left.
Then again, maybe everybody wanting to go to the Santa Clarita show, like me, bought an Air Supply ticket and, like me, are still waiting for their refunds.
lunazure said My dishes and yard both need a lot of work and I don't care, I've been reading a lot lately. Fantasy escape.
Alas. Well send Mr. Bill my good wishes, and I know what you are going through. As aforementioned, there are always jobs with the school systems, if you don't mind a few ornery kids. (I had to go drill sergeant on them again today. You just can't be nice to middle school kids alas) You might do well wit medically fragile kids, you'd be doing about what you were doing with Mr, Bill, and they always need paras.
If you get hard up for work, I'll ask my daughter in law, she might know some connections for people who hire out as editors for self publishing you seem good at that. Work from home.
OH!! Well shucks he IS 72, he probably does a few turns through the doctor's office at times. No worries. We all do. He looks pretty healthy to me. Stress kills, so good for him taking time off from whatever keeps his energy up.
My oldest brother just hit 70 himself and said he was going down to the Social Security office and say "GIVE ME MY MONEY" LOL he was pretty funny on the phone a few weeks ago. I'm sure he'll have good stories to tell. He's been working all this time, got laid off a few months ago... had to accept he was "an old goat" and they didn't want him anymore. He's got a pretty sharp mind still. Good for the doctors, they keep us healthier as we get older!
And some people are just really healthy. My brother is NEVER sick... me I have to have a kid with pneumonia crawl in my lap before I get really down. Vitamins!
I've been getting sick a lot of late. If it's not one thing, it's another. And that has me down about the prospects about ever getting to, like, talk (not shout) with Justin at the stage door some day. Not that I could ever overcome my star-struck-ness. I definitely want him to stay well and tour as long as possible.
Weetamins? This is what Germans, who notoriously don't buy Justin tickets, like:
As the curse continues, I took The EVO! on her nightly walk and hedonistically decided to stop by McDonald's on the way back to work. We were in the drive-thru, and I looked over and saw 4 or 5 creepy-crawly ticks on her. I freaked out. I was going to drive out of line and pick them off, but decided ticks did not belong in McDonald's parking lot, either. So, I endured the drive home. I pulled 7 off her, and I don't know how many leapt into my HBA bag. Ick! Ick! I'm just a bag of germs.
They say you're supposed to light a match, blow it out then apply to the tick. That backs their head out of the skin and there is less irritation.
Don't quote me on this, but if you can see the ticks, they aren't the Lyme's ticks, the Lyme carriers are little ones. But yes, I agree they are disgusting. Unless you have deer in the area, you're probably ok. Deer are the real carriers of the disease, it doesn't affect them, it's bad news for us.
I couldn't find it, but there is a very very funny scene in the Taylor/Burton movie *Taming of the Shrew*, where Richard Burton is picking ticks off a small fuzzy dog, and tossing them into the fire. Has to be seen to be believed.
Signing off itching.
It's been tick season all year. The EVO! had two and I had a tiny one on my leg today. She probably has more, but she likes to squash as much surface area of her body as she can to the ground when I try to detick her, and then she snaps at me when I try to roll her over. While I have co-opted her, her rightful master certainly doesn't need any more problems. I was thinking, isn't it time for some species in the ecosystem to acquire a hankering for them so we can have what a certain large property owner around here calls "wildlife management"?
Who likes talking about ticks? How about we make a list of #JHQA questions?
1) Dear Justin, What do you want me to ask you?
