Gerry and I met you the last night in Santa Barbara.... you two went on to SJC. I drove down to Irvine and had burritos with my brother and his wife... nice evening that, met my niece for the first time. Long ago wasn't it?

I would just as soon Capistrano lived on in my memory. Long before the freeway was built, we drove down as a family, and we kids got to feed the white doves at the mission. We got lucky and heard someone play "Granada" on the carillon. One of the prettiest songs I've ever heard live. It's a lovely mission, but is alas often full of tourists with cameras. Cry

I've never seen a swallow there. They nest elsewhere, all over the west coast. Lots of white doves though. BTW I think our swallows are LATE this year... we usually have some by this time. I also haven't seen the orange hummingbirds, generally they show up together. The geese have been back for a while tho. I'll look for swallows this week, lots of yard work to do.

I can do without the Roach House. Always meet rude ushers there, there are often "tough people" starting fights or smoking heavily, and never a good seat.

BTW anyone who hasn't figured it out yet, the venue in Fall River has gone on sale..... general admission. Very easy to buy this morning. Maybe the place is a dive or something. Wouldn't be surprised, my Ex mother in law was from there.

Sellersville was on-sale, too; VIP seats for the fourth-or-so rows.

Nope. Narrow window of time for me in New England. Have my three venues picked out. One more or less front row with no VIP needed. Eyeing other visits.

Still no swallows here (they have GOT to be close!) but a mourning dove did show up this morning (they go away in the winter too) and my trilliums are up and blooming, so spring is for real here. For me anyway.

Spring's been full-on here, and pollen counts (one, two, ...) have been really low. Yay.

P.S. I got one ticket at 6am when tix went on-sale to the general public. It was in the fifth row. I was thinking, "I could buy forty closer tickets at any German venue, and those tickets have been on-sale for how long?"

"I've lost my place,
I'm close behind."

That GA in Fall River might get dicey. My mother in law was the type to pull hair when she was younger.... tough girls in that town.

Today was what Easter is supposed to be... the sun came up streaming in my window, the sky is clear and gorgeous! We had hail yesterday, very creepy, like snow it was so thick. Then it melted, and I was treated to the third night of a gorgeous moon rising over the rooftops....

Lots to do today, it's a working day and I'm off for the week. Maybe even get some stuff down around here. Like house fixes.

Meanwhile, I just wrestle with stupid papers that don't mean anything. The dog walker AGAIN ordered me to call the vet to request specific meds for her "arthritis." The dog runs like crazy, but he gets the full picture in the 9 hours he spends with her a week, and I'm the crazy one, so I obeyed and called the vet demanding specific meds. I know that is not the way the Rx process goes, but I'm the low person on the totem pole. Now, the police have probably been notified that I'm calling AGAIN demanding pain relievers.

Then, the boss' meds got messed up again. I guess the pill company's great computer upgrade didn't have columns in their spreadsheets for "no substitutes accepted," as this has happened twice.

At least I rejoiced today that I had ridden out a mauled hand and broken wrist without doctors and meds. I'm not going to win any beauty contest a this rate, but at least I'm not going around like a child on Prozac.

I'm glad you and Justin enjoy the moon rising over the rooftops. Of course I'm jealous, and that's only because I'm at my wit's (just one) end, feeling like everything hit the fan, struggling to crank out only a few pages of viable work.

Anyway, I've got loads of garbage to crank out. It would be easy if I had no values, but I try to use my mighty-mouse powers to - yeah, right.

Well, what's this Vivid Seats ad I keep seeing for Justin in Houston in June? They want to sell me tickets. I'd love to go, but I'm gonna have to pay the dog walker $600 for my upcoming tour dates as it is.

OK. I'll work on my charity and come back with peace and flowers. Right now, I have a headache from banging it on my fists.

I meant that bit on the totem pole idiomatically. Though my body was born a long time ago, my mind was not born yesterday, as it hasn't yet figured out how to be born.

The curse continues. The boss just got a call about his high school reunion. It will be the weekend of August 11. Hahahahahahahaha. Do I know how to buy tickets I can't use or what? The last reunion lasted three weeks. This may not be good. Meanwhile, he is stalling on getting somebody to sub for me.

Do you have tickets for the east coast you can't sell???? I did just turn up with an extra ticket for Fall River, so I have one for you if you want. (I got the VIP and can get in early to get a decent seat, and yes can save one) I'm thinking if you have some for New England you get "stuck" with you can mail off to me and I'll happily sell and send you the money.

OR conversely..... if you have a ticket broker who would take a GA ticket off my hands for Fall River, please let me know.... it would be nice to make back my outlay at least. Usually I'm standing at the door saying "extra ticket" and wind up getting less for it than I paid.

Clue me in here. I'll be in New England from like Aug 2 to Aug 8 or so. If I knew for sure you'll be at the Flying Monkey I'd reserve a room next door, a nice hotel there.

Where is the boss's reunion???

BTW in case you missed it, a bunch of VIPs just came up on Justin's site. I wish he'd do that a little quicker.... plainly the folks on TER are being mum about this stuff so I'll have to start watching his site like the proverbial eagle. Geeze do NOT buy a ticket for Fall River, I will get in early and save you a seat!!! And I have an extra. I suspect Fall River is a dump, but.....

DOG MEDS .... for bad joints I highly recommend Glucosamine with Chondroytin. They come as big huge horse pills. I gave these to Micco as he aged, and they worked very well. That is all the vet is doing, selling you OTC meds for the dogs. Vets are the original rip off artists. If Eve is a small dog, you might cut the pills in half, Micco was a full sized human sized dog and he got a whole tablet, right along with me in the mornings.

I have yet to hear about Justin playing Houston in June, but that does not sound surprising. He seems to like Texas, I think he has a hotel he really likes in Big D.

I can't answer any of that. I have a boss whose plans change as the wind blows. Within the last few days, I had several setbacks - both people who were going to sub for my Moodies getaways now have family members in critical condition. The boss wants to hire the "new gal" on his terms and conditions, which I fear will be after I would have to be out the door. I've been there, done that, wasting two airplane tickets already.

I woke up in a better mood, though. I was unusually calm. Last night, I had the most amazing craving for onion rings. I just had to get them. So, I did. That one stupid act put my bank balance below the amount needed to get a ticket that went on-sale this morning. Oh, I say I love Justin when in fact I'm a slave to my big, fat gut. "Lesson learned," said I, and went back to work.

I still have a gob of work to do before I start the next load, but I'm not anxious about it. The fever may be gone. Yay.

What's the deal with these general-admission concerts with VIP tickets, anyway? Do you get a bad seat and a lot of stuff, or can one score a good seat? I must wait until my bank posts my deposit.

Never mind. I went and read the deal. I was camping on the site, and it let me in as tickets went on-sale. I didn't see the explanation. All I saw was my grand total and how I had sold my hopes, wishes, and dreams for a mess of onions (with a lemon Mexican soda).

I have a Fall River ticket remember. I'll get in early now with VIP and will save you one. Hopefully they will allow that. The Belly up Tavern works that way, you get general seating, but VIP gets to go in early for the better seats. That is if they don't over sell the VIPs... the Flying Monkey presale was weird and their box office little help so I was glad the VIPs came up there.

IMHO the boss is taking advantage of you. It may be why his family hired you to take care of him, he takes advantage of them too.

I hope very much I can do this all myself (stuff does come up) I have airline tickets already, fairly inexpensive too I thought. I'm looking forward to driving around the area, very much.

That's really nice that you'd do that for me, but I am in no position to commit. I can't say I'm being taken advantage here, because most of my days are whiled away like the Maytag repairman's. I could have written so many symphonies, read so many books, learned so many languages, gotten my math up-to-speed. Instead, I write stupid articles for newspapers.

Wenn du Anfang Mai in Deutschland bist, warum gehst du dann nicht zu einem Justin Hayward Konzert? Gobs und Unmengen von sehr guten Sitzen sind noch verfügbar.

OK. I'm not going to buy any more tickets for the short-haul. I was going to try to get a ticket today. I went to see the new on-sale dates posted by Mango Margarita on TER. I clicked on the seating chart of one that was not yet on-sale and saw I could buy tickets. There was a fairly good seat at a first-row table, so I bought it. Then, Ticketmaster informed me, "Congratulations! You're going to Air Supply!" Well, the lady at Ticketmaster was very nice and arranged for me to get a refund in the next 7-10 days.

I tried again at the Rams Head, but you all are swifter than me. There were about six really good seats when I got in, but when I clicked on them, all went gray. Bummer.

Now we focus on car repairs and taxes and shall return to scour the aftermarket in May.

Then, I had non-buyers' remorse, and I went back to see if anybody had turned back any tickets. It was weird, I kept refreshing the screen like a fool, and each time, it seemed the availability had changed. I settled for less, but it shouldn't be too bad.

Now, I will be responsible over worldly concerns. Grrrrrrr.

I think I'll be mum about the tickets I got today, but I was very happy, and managed to get nice front row tickets, or early access VIP.

I have a whole stack of notes to type up as an itinerary for the rest of the year on through February (when is the next payment due?) so I can plan ahead. I like planning. I guess I had better call one of my bosses, I've been trying to ignore her because I know they will be garbage jobs, but I have to take one for the gipper once in a while.

Yea I got the taxes out the door, indeed I seem to be paying less, but house tax went up.

Gotta get some hotel rooms lines up or they will be booked, people like to travel during August.
