I tangled very briefly with Mark once, and then outflanked him, which was delightfully fun and enjoyable.

"Outflanked" him? Really? HA!

People will make of the songs what they will regardless of the truth.

Yes, they will--even after Justboy says it is what it is and isn't what it ain't.

Say, you've (your soul) traveled to find your other half, wherever they may be. :o )

I've explored the subject intensely over the past few years, and it's curiously fascinating indeed ... until right at the point of the 'half a soul' theory...that is Smile at which point the theory begins a process of denigration of understanding with that orientation of thought...

while there may be something truthful on the subject (and come 54 years later I have decided that truth is very straightforward and understandable once one realizes it-not mysteriously twisted and contorted and obscured by clouds), I seriously doubt it is as complicated as many do make it out to be....complications of understanding having been based on fallacies that prove themselves to be such, IMHO...still, it's a highly debatable subject of non-stop exchange simply due to a condition of theoretical approach in explaining it...Smile

The "half a soul" thing comes from the old Greek hermanutical (??) discussions.... might even be in Socrates. In theory humans have four legs and four arms, and we are separated from the rest of our "self" and have to find that other half.....

You're right, I'm just as confused and I bet my twin soul (whomever he might be) is in the same shape. So I don't beat myself up over it too much. My twin soul is probably some Afghani soldier freezing his tookus off in a cave somewhere in the Himalayan mountains. Not likely to meet him! Laugh

It makes a good bedtime story.

Next?

What's the square of 3 plus itself again?

HEY Sphincks that trailer looked really good! I should track that down.... I like a cute chick movie once in a while

Yes, the train wreck was a terrible tragedy. Of the kind we see all too often in this "End World". It appears the world itself is a train on a track going faster and faster to hit that brick wall. If each one of us can do whatever it takes to bring a little more love to one another, then so be it. Just take it and use it as life support. Do the MB members read this forum? Who knows, I would think it would be to their advantage to stay in touch with those sitting out there filling those seats. Where would they be if no one came to the party? Would it be so hard then to reach out and take the time to shake a hand?

PBS had some replays of back to back music specials recently. Rewind of Folk, The Best of the 60's. I wondered where all those "Gentle people with flowers in their hair have disappeared too." So many of those musicians gone from us. Such special people that could influence generations.

You can try to explain what you think you know if you are a spiritual person or in need to share. I think that very honorable. And as one said here, you can try to over-think what really is just so simple if you let it in. You can't really force anything, it has to just come of its on accord as your mind sorts it out. I believe we are all an individual soul ... we are not out here limping around handicapped with half a soul. But, I do believe we were meant to be with one other soul ... so much like us that it hurts being apart from them because we have it in our DNA memory to be side by side in all things, So etched that no one will ever fill that hole in our heart. Someway, someday, we are meant to be as so. Meant to work together, love together, in a new world, a new regime. But, wouldn't it be nice to find each other in the now to help ease the suffering of a world in chaos. One by one is the only way to save a populace.

I don't know if anyone listens to C2C. But they had a discussion of the Rabbi Yitzhak Kaduri ( I had to look that spelling up ;o) and his prophecies. The fact that Ariel Sharon is still in a coma after 7 years and that Kaduri prophesied that he must first die before Jesus returned. Interesting stuff. The mysteries of the Universe are by faith.

So, I have faith in that one and special love ... romantic as some might see it to be. Doesn't it give hope and a burning light that perhaps seers the darkness? We all need a ray of sunshine.

I think this thread was song interpretation ... but that includes everything the lyrics might be about. :o ) You know, I wrote a novel, and though it might seem a fantasy romance, it is pretty much my interpretation of mans relationship with God and how I feel he made us so full of love that he meant our lives to be the same. Money? Nah, though that would be nice in that I could use that to help others ... If I just helped even one person to explore the realms of what not only could be .. but is. Wouldn't that be worthy of a crown itself?

Hope everyone is heading into a wonderful and bright Holiday Season!!!!

I certainly HOPE Justin's married to the right one, after all this time!!!!!!!!!!! %} With all due respect to my musical hero, he's a dumbs**t if he's married to someone he has weak feelings for!!!

Sphinx, that was a very good story, brought a tear to me eye. Thank you.

Angels and Santa may be real. I did see a Santa once at Toys R Us after hours (I was working seasonal long ago) I thought he was another temp, in a red apron and all. I asked my boss who he was later, and she asserted quite seriously, that no one by that description worked there.............

If two people reciprocate their beliefs about soulmates, that's cool. I will reiterate, my adoration for Justin probably creeps him out as awfully as my stalker's for me. I'm not going to go around pretending I hate Justin, but, unlike my stalker, I will not tell him he has no choice but to marry me.

Excuse me, It's time to think of my happy place - like fast -----

Well it happens all the time.......... someone can have pure, or even impure thoughts about someone who does not reciprocate. (A good example would be a nice young man longing for Marilyn Monroe, who incidentally is no longer on this earth) And a little romantic fantasy never hurt anyone, really. It's when you try to make that fantasy a reality, and the odds just aren't in your favor.... .you have got to get real. Like bugging said fantasy figure in THEIR real life.

You just really shouldn't lay your fantasies off on someone else who isn't interested. It's sorta pushy.

Moody shows are a little pocket in time, where we can all get together and love one another. safely, no threat. It may be Living Theatre when it crawls off the stage and to the band's hotel (a fascinating concept), but it's also a bit threatening, IMHO.

I continue to be fascinated by WHY the Moodies are still doing it! (I know why I'M here, I have no life! Laugh)

I do it for the emotion, and I'd freak if the Moodies stopped touring. Well, I'd be OK if Justin kept touring after a dissolution of the band, even though the other guys are quite nice in their own rights. Anyhow, I can do everything I know to be a good person, I can do things that make me high, like studying physics, searching for religious truth, writing music, finally solving a bugger math problem - but the live shows are always the icing on the cake. I can't get that high without them.

Viva les concerts!

Nothing I hadn't heard before. Justin says very kind things each time "It has meaning to others, and we find meaning in that"........ many of his Storyteller responses were much the same.

We're happy pleased and we're thrilled.

I'm finding meaning and significance in a nice warm cup of turkey noodle soup and a crackling fire right now. Be happy......... Smile

Just watched *Mrs. Winterborne* what a cute movie! (Tanks for the recommend) I love anything with Shirley MacLaine, she did a nice job, as did all the actors. Nice for a cozy evening in my housecoat.

Before that I watched *Gatsby* and again contemplated the futility of trying to bring "the love of a lifetime" into reality..... I'm not sure any of it is in our hands, despite our craving for "happy endings." Angels do appear sometimes to guide us, mysteriously. Ends tie up neatly in stories.... but not in reality. Only in retrospect do we see things clearly. Some people go through life carelessly screwing up others just to save their own miserable hides. Is it derailment? Is it induced drama??? Or just things happening "as they should".........

I often think Justin is a bit like Gatsby in that he's spinning this fantasy world, alternate reality where "what he wants to be he will be in the end"............. He creates lovely poetry and music, but does it have bearing on reality? Or are we simply all sharing a lovely little alternate universe together? We should be careful when the two worlds meet, yeah sometimes train wrecks happen.

If Justin didn't share truth, it wouldn't resonate.

Back on the twin souls stuff, Justin is a better man than I. (Ya think?) With prodding and support from friends, we turned the cops on my unilateral twin soul last night. It felt good for awhile, but now I'm wondering about retaliation.

Justin, on the other hand, if I read him correctly, just laughs at my obsession. Hark! Is that a tap on the door? Strange sense of humor my plumber has.

What is truth? And what is illusion??? and yes I agree, if it wasn't truthful it wouldn't resonate. Which scares me.

I'm sad about the stalker situation leslee, good heavens. You might consider moving. You do know that God has handed you this situation for a reason? This also scares me, because it means that God hands ME certain situations for a reason too.

Add us, we are nine. Multiply us, we are twenty. Divide us, we are 0.8. Subtract us, and suddenly there's only one degree of separation. You could almost write lyrics with that one.

Truth is things as they really are, communicated without mental distortion via the EM signals emitted by everything in the universe. Truth is that really good stuff that makes you look intelligent if you always try to speak it. Truth is our only ally, as it will never let us down. Illusion is too difficult to define, as I don't know if it requires conception or belief. I"ll leave that to the next guy.

Bringing things back on-topic, your numbers are what you get when you add the digits from Justin's most famous guitar with the numbers on his license plate from the famous video. The first digit is one number, and the difference between the third and the second is the other.

Here are my math questions: I want to know how to describe charge in the absence of mass and vice versa. I'd also like to know, can you tell me, please don't tell me. It really doesn't matter any how. [Hint: Choose two integers between 66 and 69, exclusive.]

What were we talking about? Oh, yeah. May will be a happy time if the employment path coincides with the tour.

I haven't seen that video in a long time. The mystic number for Justin's guitar is 2. (when you add them all up and get a double digit number, you just keep adding)

An electron has a charge, but no mass, right? Likewise a positron. A neutron DOES have mass, but no charge. By definition I think. I've often wondered if the smaller particles aren't just something that popped into being because we stared at the atom long enough. Maybe they aren't there when we look away.
