Many musicians and theatre people tend to have small fuzzy terrier-like dogs. I think they travel well, are intelligent, and tolerate a lot of weird things. The story Justin told at one storyteller was Ray was going to get a dog, and he went along for the ride, and liked one of the dogs too, so he picked out a female. Probably they were just some mutts, with a lot of Yorkie in them. There's also an Australian Silky which looks a LOT like a Yorkie. Picture a small brindle version of Toto in Wizard of Oz. Chihuahuas have a little more squashed turned up nose and bug eyes, but there are also long haired chihuahuas out there which look a LOT like the Yorkie/Silky variety of dog. According to an interview (now I'll have to find it, sigh) an interviewer (Green?) said Ray had a chihuahua in the late 60s. Shucks who cares, but Tuesday and Ray's unnamed pooch were long haired, small and had upright ears. They say Silkies are good for keeping bugs and cockroaches down around an apartment. I can sleep easier now at night, knowing these things. Laugh

Even better

My favorite part was Graeme's comment about South Africa. Ha ha ha. I couldn't catch what John said about being invisible. He laughed about it enough for me to wonder. I liked his comment about the boat, too. One might like John on a desert island because he's such a good engineer. It reminded me of that question from an old fan letter asking with whom he would like to be stuck in an elevator. He said the mechanic. Then, there was the one about what he would change first were he to become prime minister or something like that, and he said it would be his letterhead. Ha ha ha ha ha. I could relate to Justin's invisibility, too. There's a lot of that going around, thanks to the ubiquitous, amorphous "economy" excuse.

Some very nice photos of Justin's and John's solo events. I do think Justin looks fine in the glasses. I'm glad he's getting more courageous about wearing them, but I agree, they ARE a bit of a pain... I ditch mine as often as possible too. The world looks better in blended water colors sometimes.

I have no idea if this will work, it's Justin doing "Nights" on the ship solo show.

Please everyone thank Alicia for graciously sharing it.

And from the second night, MJ banana did it, very nice of Justin's fret hand.

What's the story behind that third photo of Justin?

The worst part about wearing glasses is when the boss' dog decides she needs to tear down a rocky hillside. "Old lady in tow!"

I enjoyed the "Melancholy Man' video a lot. Yesterday, in between errands and trying to do taxes, I looked at AB Czech glass buttons online. Justin's violet eyes are so much prettier (and bigger) in this video. His voice was incredibly melodic. I know, it gets better all the time. He hit the high notes wonderously and the tone quality was so pleasant. I wondered why he bothered with the BUV's. Then, I saw John was singing, but I couldn't pick him up. That is a very pretty guitar, too.

A nice long clip!!! Buddy Holly medly, and then "No Regrets"

I haven't heard him do "Heartbeat" before.... I like that one. I always liked that one, has a good salsa beat to it.

The comment (which I am now overwriting) was unnecessarily rude and uncalled-for. It was the flaunting of a damaged mind. It was a wicked day, indeed; but there was no need to take it out on the good people here. I shall retreat to my hole until I have some happy news.

With regrets and sorrow for my misbehavior -

Good thing I didn't read it. Justin does odd things to our mind sometimes......

I was displeased with a fan who got caught in the frame myself, but I choose to ignore it. Been busy for one, it's mean for two (no matter his character) and three proves nothing anyway, and is a waste of time. Telling people the truth about themselves is rarely profitable and usually just makes it worse.

Saying mean things just drags our OWN spirits down... you are forgiven HERE and you should forgive yourself too and go onward

Actually, I complimented Justin for making Buddy Holly's music beautiful (on the first song, anyway) and for making it look so easy to make beautiful chords come out of the guitar.

Then, I made a nasty, nasty remark about Moodies fans who have to pay $200 a night for a motel room just to have metal handles on the dressers. You will understand. I do correct myself. I wasn't in retrograde eight-to-the-bar yesterday, it was more like 37-to-the-bar.

There is an in between on the hotel thing, I agree. I'm very happy with my military discount at Best Western Plus personally. You gotta draw a line at the roach motel concept somewhere.

Lots of tidbits from the cruise at this link, I haven't been caught up and thank goodness for Jill.

Hooray for you, luna. Hooray for you, Scarlett, Hooray for you, Justin, Graeme, and John. I liked that bit about finding the car in the desert after 40 years.

I used to think I couldn't sing, but I think I can sing like Justin singing like Mike.

As always, thanks for sharing. All this Moodies stuff doesn't mix so well with spring fever and trying to get anything trivial done here.

And link to the following three segments.... nice pirate job there.

Not embedding them here, I'm probably in all sorts of deep doo for even supporting this piracy.... but the storyteller sessions are so so so interesting to those of us into rock history (and those of us who can't flit off to Florida just for the history). Thank you Jill and the folks who were able to do this.

They're over on MBA too, in the cruise thread.

I liked Graeme's completed story about the police dog. I've had German shepherds (Alsatians) for my entire life, and they are very very empathetic dogs.
