I need something softer for my old lady teeth. Oh, and if you decide not to go on the cruise, maybe I can not go with you this time. Just an un-thought.

It's a date! When they sail, we can crack open our favorite fruit juices and salute them as they sail to Key West, or that nice little snorkel island, whichever they are going to first. I shall hoist my Jolly Roger. I'm feeling better already. Cheap thrills are the best.

I was looking at a map of the Caribbean the other day. I have no idea how this price compares to the first cruise. but someone is making a real killing saving money on fuel.... they're barely splashing the Moody fans around in the bathtub on this one. Once was plenty for me, that's for sure! I am glad they changed cruise lines however, the first group didn't have such a hot chow hall and frankly I can turn out better in my own kitchen. And I'm not that hot a cook.

See ya not-there!

I'm over sour-graping the whole cruise thingy. I'm happy for all who will enjoy the warmth, sunshine, palm trees, and good music.

Me too. Honestly the best fun I had on that cruise was snorkeling, and sneaking into the Storyteller show I wasn't supposed to see. It just wouldn't be the same this time.

Everyone on the cruise, want to wish you a bon Voyage, and I'm enjoying reading about your adventures on the FB feed. Take care out there, don't do anything silly, and stay with friends when you're out in town! Cool

BTW I think I really will hoist the Jolly Rodger in honor of all you folks... it shall stay up until you dock.

I haven't been on here in awhile so I wasn't sure of the proper place to post. I just got back from the Moody Blues Cruise III and wanted to share.
Just looking at a few posts on here, it seems like there are not many who went or were interested. Each to his/her own opinion but all I can say is that these cruises are fun, fun, fun, rockin', exhilarating, exhausting, and memorable! Every time is better. It's a combo of all of the fantastic music and hanging with friends that were made on the first 2 cruises and just get better. Rumor is that there will be 1 more...possibly in 2 years time. Yes, it is a ton of money compared to a regular cruise but you can't buy the amount of music and fun that you have on these cruises.
I have lots of videos and photos. Most of the videos I have posted links on our Facebook group. But you can go to Youtube and do a search with "debbieg5" and "Moody Blues Cruise III" and find mine. A highlight for everyone was the addition of "Fly Me High" to the set. Here is a link to that one...

How kind of you debbie! Yes I've been following all the cruise posts around the nets. I enjoyed the Storyteller video last night, and plan to watch Justin's solo show tonight.... part of it is the travel time just to get there, it's nice for the east coast, but I live in Seattle, about as far from Miami as you can get on dry American land. And I don't enjoy flying.

I also went through the "get together and party with my friends" thing a long time ago, my gang used to terrorize Caesar's Tahoe. While the vast majority of Moody friends are very nice, I often have nothing in common with them. All my Moody pals are west coasters and in the same shape I am, too far to travel. I also don't drink anymore, and part of the party involves getting silly on hootch.... not my thing anymore. And I don't like rock n' roll all that much, I enjoy groups like Renaissance and Strawbs, but they were the only folks I really would have enjoyed other than my beloved Moodies. I've worn out on the head banging stuff.

But yes I'm very glad you had a good time, indeed I have heard no complaints!!! Everyone was happy and it was a great party sounds like. It's also great to see the boys whip out a new live song... those lines ups can get a little boring IMHO. And I'm looking forward to hearing the new drummer too.

If there's another cruise, I wish so much they would sail out of San Pedro and maybe go down to Baja..... it looks just as nice as the Caribbean. I'd love an Alaska cruise too, but I suppose people want to go where it's warm (sound like a bunch of Parrotheads) I would go broke to be on it, if they did a Mediterranean cruise too. That's my biggest complaint with the Moodies. They get stuck in a rut, and you can't blast them out of it.

Yes, it's not so easy for the west coast people, although there are plenty of them that come. Also, quite a few from Britain and other European countries. They tend to extend their time here and turn it into a longer vacation. I went to John's solo show and someone asked when they would come to Hawaii to play. He jokingly said, hmm, maybe a Moody Blues Cruise to Hawaii!

As far as the drinking, some do and some don't. I don't think I saw anyone getting out of control (although I'm sure there must be a few). Problem is, you have to spend a lot of money if you want to get wasted on booze...drinks aren't cheap.

The Moodies show was good but, as you said, pretty much the same lineup as they've had for several years. Justin spoke about it during the Q&A session and was talking about how there are so many songs that they feel they CAN'T pull out. He said something about the people who only come to a show every few years and they want to hear the standard hits. Well, I think perhaps they should think a little differently and consider all the MB fans that come to multiple shows every tour, year after year. These are the core of their support and most likely the ones buying most of the tickets. How about changing it up a bit so these folks can hear some different stuff? But they seem to be like you said, stuck in a rut. I guess I shouldn't complain as long as they keep putting out the effort to hit the road!

Hi Debbie,

Thanks for posting the information about the cruise. I am glad you had a great time.

Regarding a new set list, I would love to see the "Only for diehards tour" where there are only songs they have not played on stage for 10 years or more. This would leave out the favorites for sure, but might give the band some creativity in terms of making new arrangements and pairing of songs. They might tour fewer venues in such a tour due to concerns over lack of filling up the venue seats, but it could be fun. I have been listening to The Polydor Years boxed set and would love to hear "Rock 'n' Roll Over You" live. "Hope and Pray", "River of Endless Love" would also be good ones to consider.

Or even a 50% well-known 50% less-known? That would be fun too.

Ouch, lunazure! Guess you're being 'watched' (possibly on THE 'list') more than you know or admit to. Learn to refrain from stealing photos, vidoes and libeling fans, etc.

Hello- This is a request for you to please remove the following photo you have used of Norda Mullen on your Moody Blues III posting . In addition, please also remove the link to the video from Norda's Official page. I manage both Norda's website and Official page on Facebook. Both the photo and video were taken by me. We prefer that people ask for permission before using any of the content found on either of these sites. Thank you. "

Whoever this srodner is, should be ashamed of themselves. Norda should be ashamed, by having a manager who doesn't want posts shared. and blurry photos too.

I went to the site, nothing there to get excited about, I don't know why the balletdancer or forevrmoody are so excited.

It's a friend of Norda's. It's nice when friends offer to step up to the plate and help out their friends like that....

On the other hand, there are a LOT of fans, who fall in as friends with someone in the entourage, or get backstage by some piece of luck, or with their slimy tongue, become "producers" .... and it goes to their head. There's no living with them after that, sadly, when they go on a power trip .... probably perfectly nice people, but as I said.... brushing elbows with the rock gods goes to their heads. The Moodies and their group are very human, they do not live in a vacuum, I would say off hand the band's real friends are pretty quiet about "what they know."

Norda is a lovely person, and I think she'll manage just fine .... anyone is welcome to back channel me if I've inadvertently collected their material and reposted it at my blog (that's called good manners), yes I removed it.... photography isn't the most important thing anyway IMHO. All public links, there is absolutely no reason to get in a flap if someone links to your material on line. Ahem, that's what the Internet is about, sharing information.

I'm very pleased to suspect my "non Moody-politically correct" site is read and watched by the band and their helpers (that was the original intent, duh) I've never had a problem with any of them; then again I respect their space, unlike some I could name.

Bon Bon Ballerina and foreverawful are a couple of drama queens, I have no idea what makes them so ornery on line, other than an extreme desire to be noticed. Poor dears, perhaps they were abused as children. Their loud mouths in our fan base make them important, or so they believe. A bit pathetic. Confused

Again all newbies should read the "Welcome" thread, because there are very nice sites out there who block trolls, and put out good Moody information, tour info and such, often far ahead of this site.

You're a freaking moron. You only see what we post here, because you have us blocked (or vice versa) on Facebook, where we don't bother. This board is our only recourse for your filthy libel.

And "bikerbabe," whoever you are, you obviously haven't read that much of Christie's blahg or you'd be as disgusted as other normal people who have read the garbage there. Either that, or you're one of her little pals using yet another alias. By the way, I don't get "excited" about it.

Christie, you're delusional thinking that the band has nothing better to do than to read your ramblings. I rarely look at it myself. After all, some of us do have lives, and don't tell me that you do, when you have the time to go on for hours and hours and hours and hours with all your sick fantasies about other fans -- not to mention all that extra time you spend repeatedly editing. Your blahg IS your life.

Oh, and our quotes here -- YOUR WORDS -- speak for themselves. No embellishment necessary on THIS end.

Yes, please DO read the Welcome thread, complete with my quote of HER raunchy ramblings about certain male body parts.

"Abused as children?" Hardly. I had FANTASTIC, loving, supportive parents. Christie, on the other hand, must have been dropped on her head. That would explain everything . . . along with the weed.
