We are trying to plan a party for all Moody Blues fans on the night before the induction. It is still in the planning stages so we don't have all of the details but are hoping to have a live band and food/drink. Once we work out the details and determine a price will post it on the event page. Please visit the Facebook event and let us know if you would like to attend.

Forwarded to my blog etc. That's a very pretty graphic! Bummer it won't come up here, but some folks were abusing the bandwidth with their photos so they had to block that feature long ago.
I hope everyone has a good time, sounds like a plan. This is a non-RSVP far too far and too expensive for me. Be sure and give us a good report!
More and more information about Rock week in Cleveland. It looks like the Moodies might do one of their infamous Q&A events and they have a "red carpet" event too. That should be interesting (since these are musicians and not actors.... I wonder if the Moodies even own ties! LOL) Thanks to Jill and Taran for pulling this information together. I don't plan to take action until the week prior myself.
Vinnie put this one on a F/B group
,,, google R&R HOF 2018 HBO and I find that there is an app for HBO Subscribers that allows you to watch streaming of the HOF Ceremony. It did not specify that it would be streamed live, but I'm assuming. Search "HBO Go" and follow the directions. I downloaded the app, but do not see anything scheduled as of today.
Elizabeth Harney put this on one of the F/B groups
HALL OF FAME SERIES WITH THE MOODY BLUES (Thursday, April 12): At 8 p.m., 2018 Inductees The Moody Blues hit the Rock Hall's Klipsh Audio Main Stage for a special Q&A series.(From Elizabeth Harney on FB)

A lot of this stuff will be streamed.
MBT posted a link to tickets, but they appear to be normal, everyday tickets. My reading comprehension is poor, but I assumed one would buy a general ticket and then have to be aggressive and all to be first-served. In my experience, showing up first places has meant the rules change three times and I'm in the back of the line, for all my waiting.
On the other stuff, the Moodies must love you, luna. They're giving you everything you ask - a land cruise on the left side of the country. Your wisdom paid off. What I spent on airfare, you can spend on actual concerts.
Yes but Vegas stinks. I'm trying to 1) purchase reasonable tickets, not expensive tickets five rows back and 2) working out things so I can take a day or two to drive four hours south to Phoenix and visit family. I've got a room reserved so that's covered.
Vegas is where the really intense fans all go. They scare me. I'm too old to deal with them. But it's appropriate, because they do NOT take care of their west coast fans IMHO. Bummer they have to do it in VEGAS
Las Vegas can be sunny and warm. I think casinos are dorky, but to each his own. I suppose I am just bummed out because I'm so spoiled. My order of operations is all messed up. I despise hype and frenzy, and yet that's how things are promoted. "They" should just take a percentage of my pay checks and say, "These are the shows you are going to see;" better, they could tax me the amount of wages a certain employer doesn't get around to paying me .......
The R&R HoF came across as a big pile of garbage for a lot of money, but as time passes and doors close, the package keeps getting better.
Then, there's the cruise. Will I see more than one concert for a week off work? I reserved a single cabin for what could have purchased four shows in Las Vegas, but I can't find these people you say seek cabinmates, as I locked myself out of facebook because I was using the guest computer at the hotel. Oh, I'm not locked out. I just need to learn how to read text messages on the landline.
Then, the computer has been down all day. A tech is working on it now, and this is my laptop. I have done nothing all day but wait and wait. Then, there's the noise from the TV. The only thing to make this day worse would be a Microsoft update.
Yeah hype and frenzie.
I would let you use my RRHOF membership if you wanted to just go and watch on locale. Should I mail it to you? If so EMAIL the street addy.
There might be simulcast tickets still left....
I think that Moody storyteller's on April 12 will be a line sitting event, for members.
That was super-kind of you. I have a membership card, which I almost threw out when I learned I had to join before a certain time to be eligible.
However, please consider I get paid about $400 a week, I have costs of living, taxes, and car repairs, and I am too monstrously piggy to subsist on $40 a week for groceries. I already work weekends, and I refuse to work three shifts on a regular basis.
The last three attempts to purchase tickets were rejected, and I need a break at work long enough to sit on hold with the bank's fraud department. Could I have reached the legal limit of Moodies concerts?
Though I'd love to do it, I am not in the mood to think about it right now.
I'm feeling a tad better, now. I've been cranky, like I'm getting sick, but I just fed my brain lots of sugar, and it's coming back around.
Anyway, the prospect of driving up to Cleveland with somebody else's credentials when my creds didn't qualify me for the announcement sounds like a losing prospect. I may be wrong, but the R&RHoF appears to act like much of the music industry with its expertise in squeezing more and more money with more and more hoops out of crazy fans. Exclusivity alone is a turnoff. I like to see Justin, but I don't have the patience for doing stupid fan tricks right now. After 30 years of trying, I still don't know how to get tickets. Normally, I'm just sitting here and something inside will say, "Look!" so I do, and I'll get a good aftermarket ticket. Really. That's how it works.
Oh, pooh. It looks like I could have been eligible to participate anyway - but I'd have to make arrangements, get the car fixed, .... Then again, I'd hate to go all the way to stand outside. So, now I'm happy Justin gave us his whole tour well in advance.
Here's the ironed out schedule. That's three hours for two posthumous presentations, and how many bands again who will play live? Should be a good show, if you have binoculars. Or robbed a bank recently.
Thurs., April 12, 8pm ET (Happy Hour starts at 7pm ET) @ Rock Hall: Hall of Fame Series Interview with The Moody Blues - Justin Hayward, John Lodge, and Graeme Edge of The Moody Blues will discuss their Induction, careers, and influence. Free event; limited capacity; space available on a first-come, first-served basis; standing room only.
Sat., April 14,
5:30pm - 7:30pm ET: Red Carpet Live Stream - Available on Rock Hall's facebook, YouTube, or rockhall.com.
7:30pm ET: 33rd Annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony @ Public Hall; Simulcast Party @ Rock Hall
11pm ET: DJ Questlove @ House of Blues Cleveland: Tickets on sale through ticketmaster.com.
Justin will probably be tucked in bed with a cold beer and his computer by that time. Or doing a party. I just put up the schedule as I saw it.
I'm still rolling my eyes over the red carpet.
Marketing is so amazing. It promises all this wonderful dreamy glitz for people if they just show up and spend money, and it's all cotton candy. But I indeed hope everyone has a good time.
The marketing annoys the daylights out of me. One had to buy a membership to get tickets, and then when tickets went on-sale, people still didn't know what they were getting - and they still don't. It's all high-anxiety guesswork. It's like they know there are people out here who would do anything to see their big heroes, even gamble on a chance of getting to see him when it seems fully likely a world of inner-circle people are going to get all the good seats, if not all the seats.
