Sounds scary. Who'da thought so much about long division?

I dreamed last night, not powerfully, that there was a bad guy trying to spray everybody with a mix of water and orange juice. I was running away and getting soaked. I thought it might be one of those acid attacks and my skin would all be eaten away. Bluejay was telling me it was all good, and I thought if my skin falls off it will be good. (I don't even know who Bluejay is.) There were also children and ice, but I can't remember the story line.

The night before, it was the normal dream theme. Me mum and I were going to go to a Moodies concert somewhere in Connecticut or further north. We had to leave at 11am to get there on time, and I was piddling so badly we didn't get on the road until after 2. I was still trying to make it, road-rally style. I remember the venue was up there somewhere because I was going to drive back here, drop Mum off, and go to the show in Washington, DC the next night.

I dreamed last night about a ring with a deep green stone. Somebody had loaned two rings to me as part of some kind of organizational event where everybody got two rings on loan for free. For some reason, I kept missing my connections to return the ring. It wasn't that I was attached to it; I was surprised halfway through the dream to even see what it looked like.

Then, there was something about the car, getting cocky about its ease in maneuverability and possibly an accident.

Have fun with that.

I had a very clever response to the OJ last night only the site kicked me off.

"Eh! I'm all sticky!!" Paul McCartney in Help!!!

I don't analyze friends, leslee. You've mistaken me for Sigmonda again.... LaughLaugh

I dreamed I had to get up at 5 am to wrestle with a silly math curriculum at the jr high. The good news is it's a short day. The bad news is I have to babysit the teams for an hour while they do homework. I'm going to take some magazines to tear up methinks.

Last night, I dreamed I went back to college. My mother kept feeding me bacon, 2 slices at a time, again and again to the nth degree. When I woke up, there was a big "56" in the front of my mind.

Put it down, babe. That's not where it's at. Find a quiet place and ask yourself questions about the meaning of life, and see how far your working definitions take you.

By the way, I dreamed last night I actually attended a Moodies/Justin show. Justin was on stage performing, and everything was nice and happy. Normally, I'm detained, Justin refuses to take the stage, or I wake up.

Now, I'm wondering if this is some kind of bot-posting-to-collect-data-to-use-AI-and-machine-learning-to-simulate-a-leslee-from-online-posts. I'm a goner! Ha-ulp!

I LIKE that bacon post. Dr. Jung would very very much enjoy that one because it truly seems to be random with no purpose!!!

How dada.

Here's something I actually saw. Back when I was in Dallas, I stayed at a Days Inn off the Interstate. It had palmettos, I may have mentioned the soothing brushing sounds of the fronds in the wind helping me try to sleep when I was so beside myself after being the Fool of the Century. Well, after the Moodies' show in Irving, when night revolved to day, I took a walk in the sunshine. There was a greenway that I walked both days, cold and bleak, but sunny the second time around. It went to a graveyard, in fact. Well, anyway, as I stared into the bright, blue, blue sky, I saw a flying V. It wasn't a guitar. It looked like a big, bent metallic tube floating. It appeared to be at airplane altitude; too high for a kite or a balloon. It drifted and turned slowly in a linear trajectory. It was scarcely visible, but I could always relocate it once I knew it was there. I thought maybe it was debris from a satellite that had reached orbital velocity. Eventually, it got too close to the sunlight for me to pursue it, and I went back to my perch.

Here's another silly dream: Last night, I dreamed my singing voice was ridiculously high. I had to sing in a chorus, and it stood out dreadfully.

Then, there was the part about going to a Moodies concert and suddenly finding out I only had a half hour and my ride went the wrong way and all that kind of stuff. I was rooming with people associated with the band and they had just bought new microphones, and I was under some compulsion to look up the SKU numbers on Yahoo to make sure I had the right picture(s).

I'm visioning powder blue balloons to the left of the topics titles. Have they been there all along?

The experience of the bend metallic tube sounds remarkably like a UFO report, one of the Unexplained ones. I figure it was a weather balloon with lights...

Yes there are blue balls or bubbles or balloons to the left side. It's part of the background design.

I'm in shock right now with the school shooting. Everyone who works in or goes to school is starting to feel like we have targets on our backs. We get enough abuse from rude kids and nutcase parents, we don't need this sort of thing. I dreamed something last night, and it turned up today in the classroom, darn if I can remember what it was.

Haha funny. You pre-cognify, but can't post-cognify.

My flying-V looked like a huge furnace pipe that broke loose from something, but it was very small. Its rotations seemed more like it was buffeted about by air currents than being driven or controlled from an air base.

I get turned off by talk of UFOs. It reminds me of when I was in my 20s, and still very serious about asking the big questions. I was drawn to and felt comfortable in the company of many people who were doing the same. We came from different backgrounds and had weird stories to tell, but all were honest. Some referred to this as the New Age movement; but then it became commercialized. Things went from carefully searching from truth to buying stone angels, and when Shirley MacLaine's movie came out, it turned everything on its head. We were suddenly lumped in with people who would jump to any conclusion. Is there something flying in the sky that isn't an airplane? It must be visitors from the Pleiades. Of course.

On the main theme above, I'll borrow from our beloved sage:

Cause it's a sad world, where there's no-one
Who can reach out, to the source of your pain
Yes it's a sad world, such a sad sad world ...

Justin won't do Billy in concert. I don't blame him. Upbeat songs. After that (Agua Caliente) concert we had the night after Sandy Hook, that would make anyone cry.

There are serious researchers out there working on UFO stuff.... some of it IS quite remarkable and not easily explained.... some fighter pilots were just recently on the news talking about one off the coast of Baja.... they are trained observers and were just putting out the facts. There ARE some odd unexplained lightning balls.... so some could be that of course. If they are visitors, they seem to be minding their own business, so I'm not worried about it.

Here you go. (man this was hard to find, a lot of UFO weirdness out there to wade through) I thought their approach was correct, that we should NOT assume all these things are "nutcase" in nature. We could very well have hostiles sizing us up... and the reason they DON'T make contact is that we are capable of shooting back.

Verne even wrote about this sort of thing in Master of the World, one of his more obscure novels. Quite a good one too.

I remembered one of my dreams, I was going to see the new movie Black Panther. BUT after the tax bill I got yesterday (it's gone up!) I think I'd better tighten my belt a bit. No frivolous stuff for ME....

No, I wouldn't want him to do that, either. BTW, my messed-up mind thought I was posting that on a different thread. My bad.

I don't mean to brag or anything, but what do you think I was doing for the best job of my life fifteen years? (But if you come across that Valone thingy, for the umpteenth time, please read what I wrote and not the commendation.)

I think the thing that causes posts like this to die is, even though I'm now an unskilled domestic, is that I was trained, albeit minutely, in the scientific method. It is my instinct to try to explain things in terms of known phenomena. Given any observation, an infinite number of conjectures are equally valid if one does not want to put them to the test. When you want to credit things to "other forces" or "other beings," I get stymied. As I've said before here, I get really irked by the sensationalized cosmologies that fill pop-sci magazines.

While at the ESJ, among many other subjects, I did look into ball lightning, and I believe it to be a real phenomenon. We couldn't catch one or simulate one, but it was not a stretch to believe rotational inertia, as with vortices (tornadoes) or smoke rings, could give the balls stability - until they run into something with a mighty pop.

Stories of Foo Fighters (If you just save my life, Run and tell the angels, That everything is all right ...) have been around for years, and when I left ESJ, nobody knew what they were. We generally suspected a lot of nifty sightings were terrestrial military secrets. For what it's worth, me's is smarts enough to knows there is no way to prove life doesn't exist on other planets.

OH I understand! It all makes sense!!!!

Yea me mum saw some balls of light out on cruise in the Med once, and thought they were UFOs called up to admin and they said a bunch of people on the boat had reported them. I talked with her about it (my mom would get very hysterical about stuff, saw visions and things. Long story) and sorta got her calmed down... they probably WERE ball lightning out over the salty ocean. The whole Med is really volcanic too, so lots of that geo-stress static electricity possibly (dang I don't know the terminology, but lightning occurs weirdly around fumeroles.)

I just did a class in this last summer... the prof had been a resident astronomer at Mauna Loa observatory, and was involved with research on global warming. Much of the readings in the jump of CO2 have been taken at this observatory, so he was a convert. The denial process is an amazing one, because while they claim to have "corrected" for the CO2 around a massive volcano like that, how could they possibly quantify it, especially if the mountain is going through a new cycle or something? I didn't argue since I wanted a grade out of the class, but he really loved UFOs and the class was based on exoplanets and possibilities of life there. What sort of drives would be practical for interstellar travel. Very basic take on the sciences involved, observation that sort of thing.

He designed terrible tests IMHO which was a reflection on his critical thinking skills.... but I enjoyed it anyway, got a decent grade (counts toward my certificate.) He shared the data on the top UFO stories, and several really stumped us all.... no explanations. Wish you'd been there. I should bring my notes next time we meet and we can share.

Numbers science physics etc.... I'm "only an egg" in these things (pop science if you will, but I'm not entirely dumb in the realm of physics after all!!) but when it comes to motivations.... well what the heck would aliens be doing here??? My own thoughts are they are probably some folks with high tech they don't share with the rest of us (ie "Master of the Universe meets Atlas Shrugged") OR they are time travelers.

Never have seen a UFO myself. And I watch planes a lot. I'd never sneer at a siting story tho.... most people who HAVE seen weird stuff are darn reluctant to talk about it, and that in itself is intriguing to those who study the mind. Abductions are an entirely different matter... and even that I take seriously. Lots of angst around it all. Open mind is best around this stuff. And.... yes the mind is a funny thing all right. Cool

Military people tell a lot of weird stories, only ran into one who said he worked on a secret base in Nevada that housed a UFO (yes the one with the little brown men in it allegedly), but he was trying to impress me possibly. He was a Marine AND an electrician, and both occupations are slightly weird.

I'm fully expecting thunder snow tonight with our weather.... hurricane force winds, we get them now and again.
