I know, that is why I was thinking of going to Berlin.... hope they sell eventually. A lot of people show up on the night of the show and want tickets...
However.... the Moodies and all the solo stuff are just way out of my reach right now. For them, Vegas is probably pretty nice, with all that nice weather and golfing. Visiting with friends out from Los Angeles. Same with the cruises, nice to get together and socialize with other musicians. I think they are doing touring to suit themselves now. And it's ok with me.
You should do what you want. You don't need me.
I cannot make commitments right now, as my debit card is not functioning. I tried to call fraud control, entered all my information, and then had to hang up to do something here at work; so that probably only solidified whatever conclusions are working against me.
For all I know, the IRS is demanding payment in full of all back taxes before I can leave the country. Maybe I've bought all the tickets I'm allowed and the bank's algorithms say its time for somebody with my profile to be buying Prozac and Louis Vuitton handbags instead. Besides, my boss could call everything off with a last-minute crisis. (It's happened before, the old "Use my tickets for scrap paper" routine.) Then, traveling with somebody is always a budget-breaker for me. The last time I traveled abroad, I puddle-jumped and walked. I don't know that many people willing to walk 3-4 hours a day, but it's easy if you bandage your toes in amazing Nexcare waterproof bandages and don't mind going around with a prowly broken wrist.
I'll stop Google Translating into German, to try to attract the attention of SEO spiders and boost sales, until you get your tickets if you want, though.
This is supernatural. After I posted that last whining, I saw I had an email, and it appears the first reservation has cleared. I'm so astonished, I could collapse. Thank you, thank you. I am not worthy.
It really was rather instantaneous, but I'm at work and had to do some things before I could post. No. Really. (Remember when Justin did that at, was it the House of Blues in Myrtle Beach? He said there was a little man behind the set. Then he paused and said, "No. Really.")
P.S. I don't know of any international airports in West Virginia offering good rates. Are you trying to trick me into self-identifying, which thing would be against the rules of this board? Speaking of which, where are our essay writers?
Anyway, the beautifully magenta Icelandic WOW was offering $300 deals out of LA not too long ago. And who wouldn't rather do the PCH than corn on corn on corn on corn. Corn on corn on corn.
Glad your card is now working. Generally I walk into the bank and ask them what's up with the silly thing when I have issues.
I was looking at Aer Lingus. Marvelous rates and sales. They fly into Berlin.... I was going to go to Chicago (SWA), fly from there to Dublin, then to Berlin. Stay maybe a day in each city and visit.... Then I totaled up everything, rooms, air tickets and it was quite a tab when I got done. No.... it's a bad idea.
I saw so many shows last year, this is just gluttonous for me to even consider. That's WHY I did so many on the west coast last year (like all of them except the Roach House) because I knew he would not be back for a while, I could feel it. Deliberately avoiding the west coast. My mind wanders toward weird fantasies. They LOVE the east coast, they run up and down the seaboard, all their cruises are out of Florida.... shucks we westerners may as well pack our bags and turn into Country western freaks. yee haa.
That was another alternative, go down to LA (two day drive from here, or a five hour flight) take Aer Lingus straight to Berlin over the Pole I assume. Then I remembered the horrible flight OUT of Seattle when I did this last cruise. Bumpy bumpy.... I took up prayer, heathen that I am... ice crystals flashing in the anti collision lights. I figured if it was time, it was time, and gripped the seats harder, closed my eyes. Finally when dawn broke (dark all down the coast, took off o dark thirty after wandering the airport a good deal of the night) it was a really nice flight out over the Sierra Nevada, but what a pain in the grommet to get there.
Mind you if it was fast, it wouldn't be so bad dying in a plane crash, but it's that long long fall that bothers me to think about. The folly of the whole cruise and all... but I did have a good time once I got there.

Ticket: $150
Airfare: $300
Travel to airport: $400
Airport parking: $120
Train pass: $300
Airbnb: $300
Food: Eat peanuts on the plane
Foreign transaction fees: $100
------ That's about 91% overhead.
I think I mentioned the cheapest flights from airports around here (CLT/ATL/RDU) connected through Ataturk and took two days. I haven't checked rates lately. My strategy is to buy cheap, nonrefundable airfare and then let the airline change my days. I did that once when the Moodies were in Nevada and I got weekends and holidays off work. I got a nice, cheap ticket to fly out Thanksgiving weekend, catch a show, and take a red-eye back. About a day before I was supposed to depart, the airline changed my plans so I would arrive the next day, when there was no concert. When I called the airline to ask what they could do, I got scolded for not spending Thanksgiving with my family (who don't live here anyway).

But you remember it is the promoters who offer the itineraries. Maybe you should become a promoter and offer them a show in your backyard once a month.

That was an exciting adventure, and you need no help writing essays.
Somehow, I'm having a hard time figuring out what could be a better use of resources than trying to see Justin. (I am not contradicting my post about the R&RHoF, as I'm not believing I have a chance at winning in their games. I should be nice, though, so: R&RHoF is amazing! outstanding! Thanks for inducting our heroes.)
The musical journey was so much easier before fees multiplied with ticket purchase, tolls got so high and electronic, roads were designed for GPS, the vision waned, one got ill driving all night, airports had security, one had to play tiny bottles before boarding, flight schedules were subject to change at the last minute, and commerce became a game of chance.
Thanks for your sharing! The information your share is very useful to me and many people are looking for them just like me!
Run 3
Just like you, I'm searching.
I don't think the band likes to be stalked, though.
And since we must end with a word and a hyperlink, I choose the one below because I was reading about it, and it reminded me a lot of Justin. (If my html doesn't work, I'm leaving it as, is so everybody can laugh.)
