I was listening to Justin's bluegrass in my mind during the Evo walks and thinking I'd rather he go in the direction of Bread, the Everly's, or kindler, gentler Beatles. His sentiments with easy melodies and good harmonies would really be killer (good killer, like raw). I don't know anything about music, but the bluegrass on his songs sounds like a bad toupee to me. (You're supposed to mix the senses when talking like a musician, right?)
But then, Justin makes so many ingenious decisions about music, I hope he doesn't listen to anything I say. What am I doing here?
I haven't listened to the Moody Bluegrass album for that reason. It might be a bad toupee.
I could be wrong.
I do like some of Justin's songs AS Country.... bluegrass, swing etc (different forms of CW (country western) music out there. "Cold outside of your heart" was always CW. "What you Resist Persists" is also very nice as Bluegrass.
Hope you watched Megan right before that. I was a fan of Prince.... very shocked he's cashed out.
I was working part time in a five-and-dime
My boss was Mr. McGee
He told me several times that he didn't like my kind
'Cause I was a bit too leisurely
Seems that I was busy doing something close to nothing
But different than the day before
That's when I saw her, ooh, I saw her
She walked in through the out door, out door
She wore a Raspberry beret
The kind you find in a second hand store
Raspberry beret
And if it was warm she wouldn't wear much more
Raspberry beret I think I love her
Built like she was
She had the nerve to ask me
If I planned to do her any harm
So, look here
I put her on the back of my bike
And we went riding
Down by old man Johnson's farm
I said now, overcast days never turned me on
But something about the clouds and her mixed
She wasn't too bright
But I could tell when she kissed me
She knew how to get her kicks
She wore a Raspberry beret
The rain sounds so cool when it hits the barn roof
And the horses wonder who you are
Thunder drowns out what the lightning sees
You feel like a movie star
Listen
They say the first time ain't the greatest
But I tell ya If I had the chance to do it all again
I wouldn't change a stroke
'Cause baby I'm the most
With a girl as fine as she was then
(Raspberry beret)
I think I, I think I, I think I love her
Where have all the raspberry women gone?
I don't watch it. The boss has it on nonstop, but it beats the blood and guts movies. It's funny (not ha ha funny), but I used to think my parents kept the TV loud, and I am so used to this blaring surround-sound Dolby, I couldn't even hear my parent's (finally got the apostrophe in the right place) TV this time.
Amazing how you and Justin are so alike. I'm jealous. But then, do I want those words to do something for me?
Boss is out, so I muted Trump News and put on some tunes. I really like the violinist in this one - the first I've ever seen wearing nail polish.

Besides hearing people scold and cuss at me . . .
I woke up with Tom Petty, "Stop Dragging My Heart around," in my head. I've been running a terrible fever, and this was one of those delirious fever things. I was trying to sort out how many times they said, "stop dragging my," and had concluded the correct answer was once for the first time, twice for the second, and thrice for the third, but I couldn't get it to work. So, this morning when I got in the car, the second song to come on the radio was . . .
I'm fond of motorcycles, I just don't want to ride on one. Have a few times. I was brainwashed against them by parents who didn't want me getting my brains bashed in.
I'm still trying to figure out if that was you with your back to the camera at Justin's premier???
Looked up Justin's "Skylark Ascending" and wasn't overly impressed. I did hear two really nice orchestrations on the way home this evening (not sure who DJs the afternoon commute but it's very good) One was Rhapsody in Blue (which I love anytime) but this was with a trumpet and really a nice arrangement, from the Prague Philharmonia I think, with Dokshitser on trumpet, It was fabulous and you sorta felt like you were bathing in music... couldn't find it on youtube...
The other was Ravel: le Tombeau de couperion. I think I'm in love with Ravel, Debussy and Vivaldi...
