REALLY like this..... I pulled the CD off the top of my collection, forgot I had it. I think we did a jazz piece to this, in my college jazz dance class. Great album, listened to it while I was washing dishes. Sigh, now to the laundry

Previewing bands for this month's "Events" section, this one is definitely a winner:

I found out last night I had missed "Island." I didn't bother investing in the remastered releases because I only consume music through the computer anymore, and its sound card has issues. I don't think I could tell the difference between analog and digital when I can't even hear whole instruments.

Sponge Bob has been on all day, and I prefer that to the "news."

Look around for BBC America, there has been a series "Blue Planet" running that is very enjoyable. I've had a few days I'm just puttering doing chores, and leave it on, take frequent breaks to watch.

Enjoyable TV is always a plus, but I'm the hired help. I don't control the channel.

Dad just wanted the background noise for television. When he started cussing about politics, I changed it to the weather channel, thankfully he liked that too. Poor guy I knew he was gone when he couldn't run the remote control anymore.

Oh, I would love to have the weather channel on in the background. I may have told you I used to do a lot of house-sitting. One family who often asked me had a TV and a VCR. I had my Moody Blues VCR's and I always looked forward to house-sitting. In fact, it was at their house that I saw the video for 'Silverbird' and immediately decided I must go there. Anyway, one time I told myself I was being immature, and I needed to broaden my horizons. I turned the channel and saw something terrible, the image of which remains in my brain 20 or so years later. I changed the channel and the same thing happened. So, after that unpleasant ten seconds of scarring my brain, I went back to the weather channel and my VCR's.

I listened to the weather channel, same thing over and over and over, one time in Texas. I was going to a Moodies' show, and I hadn't had time to finish a sewing project, so I threw the sewing machine in the car and set it up in the Motel 6 room. The project was a lovely shade of ultramarine, but it was Dupioni. I never finished the project, but I went to the show with strands of ultramarine Dupioni all over my brown outfit. Ah, yes. I remember it well. I was in a mosh toward the end. It's all coming back, the loving, lovable, and lovely Justin .............. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ...................... What were we talking about?

Then, there's the famous story of house-sitting for a boss and thinking I had found a cassette of a Teslathon, only to figure out about half an hour later I was listening to the head cleaner.

LOL that was funny. I love Dupioni. I never find time to sew alas. If there is a formal night on the cruise, maybe I'll dig out my indigo blue formal out of Dupioni. Needs some alteration on the neck.

I turned off the TV tonight. John Bolton got hired by Trump (great choice! I like him) but then Tucker got on there, and the bile flew. Did not go to work today, sick and weak. I dread going out to retrieve my trash can because I'm still in my house coat. And I'm not sure I got the barrel out in time for pick up.

I'm hearing nothing right now, and that is good. I might just take tomorrow off too and see if this head cold or whatever it is clears up. Allergies? Intestines in a twist? I dunno what it is. I've been breathed on by some ornery little kid.... Back hurts. Funny rash on my neck. A good movie tonight maybe....

This is a little late, but the boss was watching 'Maytime.' I was drawn into it - not only because I'm tired of angry people engaging in personal attacks on cable "news;" but Jeanette MacDonald was doing a great job. Most recordings of coloraturas don't get the clarity and range she was achieving. Then, they showed this dude in the audience who appeared smitten by the whole thing. At first, I thought he was an intense student of the arts. Then, he left blowing kisses at Jeanette. I could relate. Then, the two were outside, in love, and flowers were all around, and they did an amazing trio with a mariachi dude. "This is my kind of show," thought I.

But things are never good in movieland, so I Googled into the Wikipedia synopsis to see how things would go bad. I knew, but I took a break to see how they portrayed the end, which I estimated would only last a few minutes. I am disappointed so many Hollywood plots glamorize infidelity. We're supposed to ignore and dismiss her poor husband, so I did and was happy to see in the end, love and flowers won, eternally. It was a nice catharsis. We can only hope on another cloud Nicolai is off singing with the perfect somebody, right?

It reminds me of the time I was babysitting. The girls were absolutely adorable. They were watching a movie, and a scene came on that looked like frozen carcasses in the snow. I freaked out, and they assured me, "They're dolls." I guess that's what their parents had told them.

Enough darkness. Back to flowers and love and beautiful music. I know just the guy:

I keep posting videos and watching them later and seeing there's some kind of adult content. I can't win, but this looks like it's just clouds.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir was excellent this morning. I don't know if you can pick up the MTC and the Spoken Word on the rebound. I normally find organ playing annoying, but today, the playing was clear and with technique. The guy who did Peer Gynt did a lot of interpretation; the brilliant outweighing the whats. The selections were beautiful.

What's foolish about that? I thought I was going to get rickrolled. Nah. I don't believe I ever saw that vid. I hadn't heard the music in a long time, either. It sent a chill. I love those eyelashes!

Thanks for sharing.

Not too long ago, I was listening to "Hey, Jude." I normally turn it off, but I left it on and realized the melody was very similar to Beck's "Loser."
