You'll have to check locally to find tickets on sale, it's not my job to track down all the ticket outlets prices and so forth.
There may or may not be more dates coming out.
Thanks to Moody Jill for the compiled dates, I'm impressed!!!!! Source:
Basic rule of economics, raise the prices, the line gets shorter. The Moody Blues as a band don't seem short on fans, especially on the east coast. Myself, I suspect it will be the same show again (like the last time I saw them) same line up.... and again, thankful I was able to see so many really good shows with a different line up, softer music, and easier listening on this Justin "solo" tour.
Gasp is right.
Yeah I know. 9 times out of 10 I can slither down on the left side and get a decent seat. I think I paid $400 for a ticket once in Vegas and was sorry I did..... it was 7 rows back at the Pearl and it was one of the more tawdry casinos I've ever been in. Felt very ripped off, haven't been back to Vegas again. I was glad to put pedal to the metal and leave after that show....
There are so many less expensive ways to enjoy the Moodies. Don't let yourself get stampeded.... and best wishes, whichever shows you go to.
There are so many so close, but one must have the money and the time off, and I may be in Detroit by then. I would love to take a four day birthday vacation to Florida, stay at a Motel 6, eat a yummy Denny's omelette with fresh fruit for breakfast, file my work assignments, walk or run along the beach, ogle the sunlight and palm trees, go back to the motel and fix up, and then see the show. I would return to the motel and have a smile on my face as I closed my eyes in the comfortable bed thinking, "The end of a perfect day."
That was the old economy. Now, I foresee being fighting to try to get scheduled time off for the nearby shows and running off unable to shower after cleaning dog poo and plunging the toilet, no time to get an un-run pair of nylons, getting mascara on only one eye but all over the nose, getting a speeding ticket - you know the drill.
That late May date for Justin Solo at the Ram's Head leads me to believe there are more dates in between.... but who knows, my crystal ball (a Palantir by any other name) is flatly out of batteries. I'm glad you're getting some close to you.
I wonder if anyone out there is still doing the whole tour with the band. I know Martha and I did half of the last solo tour.... I presume others did too. I was rather warmed by Justin saying... in so many words, we were perhaps NOT "just fans"....... in his last blog. It's certainly a significant part of my own life, to see the shows several times in a row. But I'm feeling a little burnt out on the main Moody show, because it's the same ol' same old. Justin seems to be "keeping it simple" with his solo act, while at the same time, introducing enough variety to keep himself from being bored. And it's a gentler show too.
I was just reading an interview with Bob Dylan in AARP magazine (earlier this year) and he was all about getting away from the thumping drums and loud banging music too. He said some things about "let that be for younger men, it's more appropriate" he's into a calmer, "wiser" show. I think Justin is trending toward that, too. There's a difference between driving rhythms, and a "good energy" you know?
You do informatics, too?
They're close to where I am, but if I have an ounce of good in me, I'll be helping me mum and dad by then, and I have no expectation they will allow me to run around the countryside chasing Justin. It is unseemly to the capitalist mindset, but when I think of the spiritual peace I seek in life, Justin in concert is the fastest way to get there. I really liked what Adele said in that interview you referenced. What I got out of it, which is beyond a paraphrase, is music is about people, not notes. Sure, I'm a hippie, and I love trees and flowers, and have had several occasions when I was madly in love with the sky, but when you get down to it, all we do is about people.

Unfortunately yes. It's an addiction.
I had no idea it had a formal name.... you see, I've been aware of this "problem" of mine for many years, and suddenly I'm afraid I'm going to be buried in articles and files.... I just dumped the shredder yesterday, and it's almost full again.
Thank you for listening. I feel so much better.
I moved back in with mom and dad 14 years ago.... they were usually glad to have me out of the house working or seeing Moody shows.... or likewise, glad to have me here to take care of the house and dog when they went on their own trips (and they took many.... and enjoyed themselves) Alas Mom and I both enjoy cooking so it got a little crazy in the kitchen too often. Long story. Best wishes, do what you gotta do.
