I heard Thomas Jefferson had a nice voice and was always singing or humming quietly, and he never got mad. I want to be like him.

Today, I was whining all over the place. Bosses like to schedule me two places at once, and I don't think I've ever worked for anybody who knew what lunch or sleep were.

Last night Arlo did this song... "St Jame's Infirmary"... he's probably the only person still to have it in his road show. It was a huge blues piece years ago.... depressing lyrics, but also sorta cool. I went looking for it on youtube and found this really fun video. Betty Boop does Halloween.

I'm sorry it was gone. This has been a rough spring for coughs and such.

Paypal. Yes, I've bought a lot of tickets through them. You remind me of the very nice person who gave me so many tickets when the Moodies were playing about eight gigs within five hours and I was broke and scarcely employed. That worked out so very wonderfully. We talk of money, knowing full well the best gift of all is the gift of the heart.

I love that guitar riff.

I had to look it up. It is a very pretty song. I like the melody, harmonies, and arrangement in general. The lyrics and carnival sounds, ce n'est pas mon genre.

Possibly a bit of mellotron in it too. Yea Mike Pinder might have been hanging about Abby road when it was recorded.... allegedly the lyrics came from an old circus poster John had.

They reminded me of those in an ELP song. I liked the smooth ELP songs, but not the obnoxious synthesizer bits. I liked this one:

Here's a nicer version. He's chewing as he sings.

The other ELP I liked was this:

I was eating chicken not cake...

I tried to watch the Olympics, but couldn't keep up this year. So much of it was on alt digital platforms, they are leaving me behind again. Some of the figure skating was very beautiful, and the snowboarding was a lot of fun, it was good to see girls excelling at that. All snowboarders start out as skateboarders, which I relate to. And no way, we won gold at curling???? LOL

HEY one of those gals looks familiar!

She looks like Joe Cocker?

I don't much enjoy watching sports. I never have. I used to find watching ice skating relaxing. I trust the sport has become poppier and swankier in the last 40 years.

A problem with the internal juke box is, once one looks up the corresponding YouTube version, one must listen to it, and then it must go to the "What Are You Listening to Now" thread.

The one to beat remains the KC track, but here are a couple nice ones. One is actually internal, as I am not going to listen to both of them at the same time:

Wait. We weren't on that thread anyway.

But speaking of CTA, I was wondering if the purpose of songs like "Southern California Purple" was to create a terrific sense of relief when they finished and make the rest of the album sound so much better by comparison. It's moot, I know, as albums are, like vaping and tattoos, merely fashion statements anymore. I overgeneralize.

[I had to edit. I typed "threat" instead of "thread." Lately, I've been malapropping when I don't get enough sleep.
