Hi folks,
For quite unknown reasons I've been unable to post here for a long time. System simply would not let me in. Could do a lot of catching up, but will keep it brief.
Justin's Hartford show was a sellout and despite nasty rainy weather all day, it appeared everyone showed up. Crowd seemed just a bit reserved during the early portion. At Fall River I sensed the entire crowd was singing along right from the get-go but at Hartford it seemed to take a while longer but by the time Justin finished with the four song grouping from "Western Sky" almost the whole audience was finding their voices. Far as I can recall it was the same set list as Fall River with a bit more banter between Justin and Chris the off-stage techie. I am sure there is a good reason but I'm curious as to why Justin felt the need to change guitars after every song. Oh yeah - Mike Dawes had on what appeared to be new jeans... no rips in the knees! A great part was that the venue is only a 25 minute drive from home!
When I got home it was obvious my dogs had experienced a skunk encounter - twice this week! Really sucks!
Went to Fall River and met up with Lunazure. We had been swapping emails for many years so when she had an extra ticket (to sell) and since she had travelled 2500 miles to see the New England shows, I figured I could drive 60 or so to get acquainted face to face. I found Luna to be interesting and it was a pleasant evening. I also will be seeing John solo later in October.
Will be at Las Vegas (solo) for the number 8 show on 10/5. If the opportunity to meet others from this or other sites were to arise, that would be great. Now listen, I am in my late 60's and in no way anything of a "party animal" so just keep that in mind. To paraphrase a certain song "I'm Just a Lover of This Rock'n'Roll Band"!

Best to all, Mushertom
