Start a dream diary... and HIDE IT. I've found that's a pretty good cure. Over-thinking a problem tends to make one get one's feet tangled like a kitten in a ball of string.
Yes go enjoy some flowers!!! Like today, I have this rhodie (a plant) I go past to get in the car, and this cute little hummingbird was checking over the buds (which will bloom soon) a little female. She looked pretty chunky too, don't know if she was fluffed with cold, or fat with eggs. It was almost nesting behavior. She was very pretty, and sat still staring at me when I talked to her. Bottle green, in fact in the morning light she looked almost turquoise. I told her she'd better roost higher or a cat would get her! (She didn't listen of course).
Then coming out of the grocery store at noon, I spotted two eagles flying in these leisurely circles over town.... the circles moved to the south. I guess they were looking for food, eventually they'll find a cat or poodle or garbage can to eat out of. But I found it cool, they had this real deliberate hunting pattern. Very methodical.
Life and lovely things are all around us. Stop and enjoy them! Heck, get a book on art and take THAT up......... I have so many things to do, I can't see straight!!! Never bored enough to get mopy!!! I just got a lovely copy of *Dragons of Blueland* in the mail........ yippee!!! gonna read that tonight.
What in heaven's name were you doing in Austria, and what was the name of the date? And why were you reading his palm???
Did you know Graeme is a palm reader?

Serious adventure getting tickets today for Talking Stick............ front row went fast, and I'm betting the local tribe will put a row of tribal comps in front of that. Yoshi's is no longer selling tickets, I have no idea why. They will go back on sale by March 6. I hope they weren't overloaded by anxious fans.
I was sitting here, reading the boss' mail, and he got an invitation for a tour with his alumni association. The pamphlet showed the palace with the date palm. Ha ha funny. I did, about thirty years, toast dates like marshmallows on the stove until my roommate asked what I was doing.
I did not know Graeme was a palm reader. It's just as well. I'm a victim of free-hand masonry. Is that why I don't have a life?
Justin and palm trees. Does it get any better than that? Good for you on the tickets, luna. I remain optimistic, but not ambitious about the upcoming tours.
OOOch.......... next time I see you, I'll have to teach you a few kids songs. There's a whole bunch that goes with "calendar" which is a common daily exercise in both Kindergarten and first. It could probably be modified for Sunday School. Anyway here's a good one: you'll have to imagine the tune of "the Addams Family" for this one.
Days of the week (snap snap) days of the week (clap clap)
Days of the week Days of the week Days of the week (clap clap)
There's Sunday and there's Monday, there's Tuesday and there's Wednesday, there's Thursday and there's Friday.
And then there's Saturday
(repeat chorus)
Tourette............ I like it did he really cuss THAT much?
Yeah I kept trying to grab front row, but others got them and I was nudged into second row, which was cheaper! I'll still have a great view of the stage. And I'm on an aisle too, which I like.
Mom and Dad still get all those cruise ads. The only cruise I'm doing is 1) a Moody Blues Pacific cruise (any place) or 2) cruise to Cozumel (any port, and when I have the time). There's some great cruises that go out of Galveston for the Caribbean and Cozumel, the Spanish Main, so when I find time and money, maybe that.
I enjoyed the Moody cruise, but no desire to do it again, at the pirate rates they're charging. I'm not that nuts about loud rock music. Justin and Gray's little shows were the best part of the cruise, and the storytellers (and the Strawbs who were very quiet).
Maybe if they did an acoustic cruise, I'd do that. There, an acoustic cruise to Hawaii or Alaska. Please? Pine trees and whales are just as lovely as palm trees.
I like canoeing. Maybe we could raft down the Grand Canyon - although I like the way George Washington Powell did it - on a rocking chair atop a canoe. Maybe we could ride a fleet of lawn mowers to Alcatraz. The photos my sister took of Avalon were to die for. I'm never home; otherwise, I'd make a puddle in the yard and invite the band to make paper boats with me.
Test
Have no idea why this is not letting me paste the solo schedule in here.... but it's shaping up nicely. Charlotte, San Antonio, Tucson, Phoenix, and Oakland.... you'll have to go elsewhere to find them.
Darn the spooks.
Look here for the complete schedule "so far".........
Justin will be in my back yard on my favorite day. Tickets go on sale Valentine's Day. They're on-sale now with a promo code. I tried to wring it out of the venue to no avail - yet. Then, I saw the good tickets were going for $300!
Granted, Justin's worth more than a million dollars from all of us every night. Unfortunately, I don't have that kind of money, and I don't want to go around pretending like I do and go bankrupt down the road.
What if I'm selfish and I want to do the looking? I have hungry eyes as evidenced by the fact that when I go without food, it is my eyes that deteriorate before my body starts feeling tired or my tummy says, "Feed me!" Yes. A good dose of Justin would be just what the doctor ordered.
Also, I was thinking a couple days ago I don't know what is more miserable than going to a Moodies concert and getting stuck in a bad seat; i.e., far back or behind a dancer.
Thirdly, why is it that I live my life to go to Moodies concerts, and then when it's time to go, I start thinking how cool it would be to blow five concerts worth of money to go to Munich to attend Matthias Jabs' guitar store birthday party or go to the build-your-own-synth workshop at Moogfest? I'm just dreaming. I haven't even gotten time off approved for any of the up and coming concerts. I think I want to be some kind of musical techie when I grow up.
There's money in music tech, but you'd have to chop off your hair, lose your make up bag, and gain weight, to get hired. Then wear men's clothing and dirty tennis shoes.
Ok I'm not cynical this morning, am I??? Having said all that, I've met a few gals in theatre tech, and they are a very competent lot indeed. Mostly it's guys in the trade... for whatever reasons. I wish I'd gone that route myself sometimes, I enjoyed theatre tech. Especially lighting and electrical.
I was just over to TER looking at the solo show thread, and it's remarkable how they (other fans) are NOT gushing about which shows they're doing, out west. I wonder if the "regulars" aren't mostly doing the eastern shows.... "out west" is too far for them. I wish I had time to go to San Antonio..... I haven't traveled through Texas for quite a while. The spring is a nice time to do it.
I must work on my vacation route... if and when Justin nails down the rest of the dates, and if and when my brother and his wife in Phoenix firm up their OWN plans.... they're taking their trailer up to Flagstaff around that time, and I want to spend a day with them at least. And I have lots of interesting buildings to see in the LA area. Yep, time to warm up my camera! Make the appropriate hotel reservations and all that.............
OOk yeh and I'm going to have to get some new tires for Strider!!!! Been sorta hairy a few times hydroplaning in this rain!!!
I'd love to do the whole thing if I could afford that much time off, of course. It's an easy shot out that way. I could overnight to Arkansas, take a cat nap, wake up, and get to Sanatone by showtime. The route is easy 40-30-20-10. Then, the speed limits go up to 80mph. Those signs are some of the prettiest sights in the universe, methinks. Well, then it would be off to my dream home, Arizona. It would be sooooooooooooo cool, but I'm only dreaming.
I'm looking at trimming back too..... I'm up to NINE shows I'd like to see.... but if I cut and run after Yoshi's in the City, I can get home and work a few days before they come to Seattle.... and earn enough money to balance out my vacation crimes!!! So yeah, need to go on that "Moody diet".
I'm not that fond of San Francisco anyway, enough to hang around 3 or 4 days.
I'm still REALLY stoked about the Troubadour. How classical!!! I'm anxious to hear if Justin says he's ever played there or not. Would put quite a spin on their history.
It's going to be hot in LA and AZ.... need to be looking at my wardrobe.
