I dunno I've never heard of "dislike for Ebay" you must run with a different fan set than me. I think Justin get irritated by people who pester him for signatures on photos, then run to Ebay and sell them.... makes sense.

Oh don't worry about it. But if you have those tall coffee mugs with MBs on the side, those I really like.

I only have "pick tins," lapel pins, and posters. I can make use of the T-shirts and tote bags.

I have too many posters. I guess I could take up framing them and selling them on line.

Maybe we could ask Elon Musk if he wants to send the stuff out of the solar system - you know, to reach across language barriers and show other beings how Wonderful earthlings are. As I recall, Elon and his brother were rather bold in reaching out to important people in their formative years.

Naw. I'll keep 'em and sell 'em.

But seriously, there must be collectors in Moodies fandom. Perhaps I'm wrong. But surely there are strategies to increase the value of the band (and thus raise ticket prices). From a simple economics standpoint, how does one deal with surplus gear that ought to find a loving home, instead of rolling around in the back seat of my car.

I'm thinking seriously of filling up a few boxes with all the surplus, then as I travel around to the shows, set up a chair and a sign "Moody stuff for sale" and like sell at drastically reduced cost. Just to get it to good homes. Or give it to friends I meet. I gave a leather bracelet to a kid once standing in line for the show.

I thought of giving it away at shows, and actually did empty the back seat one time after a show to people I assumed wouldn't re-enter. I hesitate to do that again because it still may cut into profits from the official merch table. Besides, if I tried what you suggest, I would probably get caught by the gendarme for not having a luSANCE (as in chimpanzee minkee).

Anyway, I did some research. As posted before, I thought pick tins were a rather stupid idea. That was because any guitar picks with which I had any familiarity were plastic, and to my knowledge, plastic's resistance to biodegradation made it an environmental hazard. So, what was a metal tin going to do?

Well, I found out that some picks are made of celluloid, and extremes of temperature and humidity can cause the picks to get hard as they emit laughing gas. The conductive tin should help elevate any temperatures to make things funnier.

P.S. Beware of postmen bearing pick tins.

OOOOO

the warning did no good. There sat a FedEx box at the door, with a few rain drops on it. "What the bleep did I order this time?" says I. Sliced it open with the rose pruners standing out in the garage and there were six posters signed at least by Justin (I didn't unroll them all the way yet) 6 pins with "Justin Hayward" on them, and six pick tins from the Justin Hayward tour. Last I looked this was a Moody tour, but what the heck. I guess Justin had some left over merch laying around.

This weekend I'm going to try and sort out all those tins and picks and posters.... yeah maybe take a box of stuff on tour and sell it out front with a little sign.... some I like and will keep, but honestly.... enough is enough. I sure hope I saved those coffee mugs, but I think I sold them to someone on here. Cry

The good news is my lost stamps turned up.... lost them in a classroom a week ago. Sigh.... you don't just find cool stamps of Sherman and Mr. Peabody every day, and I've had those for YEARS.

Gotta get some sleep, Arlo Guthrie tomorrow.

I got this really cool mini-suitcase thingy in the mail today. It's smaller than the bag I usually take, and I'm fantasizing about amazing TSA peeps by stuffing a week's worth of luggage into it.

Why do Quickbooks and Quicken have the same phone number?

People who make anti-scalping laws could go to a Moodies' concert and learn the value of the music is not in the stuff. On the subject, I recall the only time the Moodies played in this town. The police chief, planning director, and who knows what other local luminaries showed up. One would round a corner and want to say, "Oh, you're a bluehead, too?" It made me like them more, so I was sorry when the police chief left.

Bluehead is the word that very nice girl asked if I was in Raleigh. It was my first time backstage. I put my purse down to shake hands with Justin. When I turned around, it was gone. I spent the rest of the backstage experience shocked, looking with this nice girl, who was the girlfriend of a venue roadie, over fences and in garbage cans. Then, she gave me $20 for gas to get back home and wouldn't let me take her address to pay her back.

So, yes. I lose my stuff at Moodies shows - two purses, a set of keys - what will I think of next?

I've been lucky so far. The one time I did let go of my purse, Udo was nice enough to hold it for me. He was nice to me, I probably look like his old German granny Laugh

That was nice. Udo knows I'm a drip, so he usually ignores me; but back when I did photo ops, he would always tell me to behave; and he scolded me once for being late to a concert. I was running down the sidewalk. I had come straight from work, so I told him to blame my boss.

I truly welcome this superb post that you have accommodated us Norton Coupon Codes . I guarantee this would be gainful for the vast majority of the general population.

That bot sure comes up with some odd handles. There are never links either, which is really unusual. Probably the same feature that disallows photos disallows links. Hmm

Did you hover? The hyperlink works on my browser, but I would not click. I made the mistake of copying and pasting one link to see what it was about. (I forgot the URL and search boxes on Google are now interchangeable.)

At least Anne corroborates Udo's assessment. But, I mean, if cheerleaders can do pyramids in photo ops, why can't fans?

ah indeed it is there for hovers.

I would never think of that, it's just an annoying post I'm trying to ignore.
