I'm looking for somebody who can translate a PowerPoint presentation of photographs of children of diverse backgrounds smiling together, along with a bunch of numbers that don't add up, into exactly how much the school system is asking the county to allocate.

I'm still trying to figure this out. The school doesn't appear to have last year's budget anywhere on the net, either.

Call up their payroll and ask for it. Power Point is like statistics, it's a good way to lie and make it look good. They HAVE to have clear, understandable books. You might ask the school board if they would like to be audited.

I work for a district that plays accounting games like that. And I work there as little as possible.

They HAVE to have it. If they can't help you, your next stop is the State Department of Education. I don't know what you want it all for, if it's for approval for county funds, yes they have to be more clear and professional, not throw pictures of smiling children at you. That's marketing.

Education is one of the biggest money making rackets in our country, take my word for it.

The problems are, nobody works on the weekends, and people who respond to me never get back before deadline, and when they do, it's with something like, "We hire top talent to implement best practices."

Back when I did investigative reporting, schools across the state were claiming a 2% dropout rate. It was nonsense. I told somebody at the state DPI so, because I had walked down a street and in one hour interviewed more dropouts than that. Nobody could explain the maths. Then, just before deadline, I realized what they were doing. they were taking the number of people dropping out in the top four grades (9-12) and dividing it by the population of thirteen grades; thus cutting it in a third.

My first job out of college, I was offered to teach an extra course for $1000 for the entire year. The administrators assured me they had carefully done the maths and they were correct. Then, I had another boss who, if I worked 4 hours and 59 minutes would pay me for 4.59 hours. Maths are scary. Why should I challenge somebody's self-esteem? If they think they can fly when they jump off a building, PC says I should not hurt their tiny feelings by discussing reality.

I've given up trying to point out math to people.

I just smile and do what needs to be done if I can, and move on to something that amuses me much more.

I let it ride unless somebody wants to pretend they can't do math to eat up my Moody Blues concert reserves.

I just looked over at The EVO! She looks so passetix. She's staring me with a, "Why did you do that to me, Weswee! look." What have I done? It's what I get for playing along with the boss' game of, "Leslee doesn't need any sleep."

When I have difficulties in life, in running a business, in a relationship, it doesn’t matter, I often turn to psychics to get some advice that will help me make important decisions. When it comes to love relationships, I recommend learning more about psychic relationships readings. Every person has problems with their partners, so this literally applies to everyone.
