I like the bass and the keyboard bits. The words are nice, too. Now, I'm listening to the heater, an oxygen tank, snoring, passing cars, and the fan on the computer. Gotta listen to a recording of a meeting the county commissioners hosted concurrently with a meeting of city council, though. They do that when they want to do something really controversial, and then for their staff reports, they supply a couple hundred pages of contractual jargon. To put the icing on the cake, our libertarian statewide think tank gives them the same ratings on transparency as the city, which is really quite excellent in their communications with the public.
I thought I was going to hear the phone ring, I mean, it is 8:00, and that is when the nurse said she would call.
Too much information . . .
Nice tight rock band, and you can dance to it........................ and a nice chord shift for the Middle 8 which saved the lack of chord shifts elsewhere thankfully.........
geeeze leslee you're dealing with Oxygen? shudder........... make sure they have liability. I really don't like working with O2
Must go for a walk, finally well enough I think.... fight those trigs...... where did I put my coughdrops????????
Rainbow was a great group. Thanks for the memory. I loved "Street of Dreams" when I was in college, then "Stone Cold" in the old Clarkston days. I never saw them before, but I like the techno-precision of the vid. The guys are also quite handsome. I am, consequently, listening to other Rainbow YouTubes, now - and quite enjoying it.
She's a very good violinist, but that's a wig she has on............
Those "first fiddle" types always give me a giggle, they can be so flamboyant. I remember going to see It's a Beautiful Day in the City (then they came up to Willits! their guitarist lives there) anyway David LaFlamme really got into it once, hair flying all over the place and such. It was as quite good. I wonder what they are up to these days, this was back in the 90s.
Now that hoofer.... he's VERY good too. I love men dancing.... especially the Irish. Big Gene Kelly fan here. Jimmy Cagney too. Thanks for that!
I loved her hair. If it's a wig, I might buy it off her. Dog-pog here thinks I'd look good in a Ben Franklin. I'd probably look more like Paco de Lucia. I caught her styling my hair one night. She took three bites of hair off the top. Yum!
Anyway, I loved the hair, but the dress bothered me.
I went back to listening to CTA last night. I must have heard that album at a young age somewhere when something amazingly wonderful was happening. I don't know waddup with why I love it so much and why it sounded so familiar on the rebound back in the 1980s. Ah, yes. WMMQ came to the rescue with a novel idea: classic rock. Visiting the old college town last summer, it was freaky hearing MMQ, now the oldies station, playing what was big when I was there.
Street of Dreams: Big thumbs up, but urgh what a hackeyed shrink episode!!! I never could hypnotize, but some of my classmates were real good at it (heheehh no one uses watches!!!) I just never had the desire to have that sort of mental control over anyone. Looks like the Los Angeles river they were shoving that guy into, that's enough to give anyone nightmares. HAH typical end, project it onto the therapist!!!
Stone Cold: video dead rip off from Gene Kelly (American in Paris) rather unimaginative lyrics IMHO.
Rainbow Eyes is very very pretty.... thanks for that. He has a wonderful voice.
Rainbow is worthy, but not up to the level of the Moodies or the doors, or Tull.
Alas I have nothing to share musically right now but The Chicken Dance, which someone was singing at Dad's place........... and no one wants to hear that TOO much.... not unless the chicken is dancing the pan for soup, as mine is doing right now....
This is one of the earliest musical memories I have... my parents had the soundtrack to the movie (it's still around here somewhere) and played it a lot when I was very small. Gerschwin was a genius. Once in a while it pops back into my head ......... nice dancing too. Why not, it IS Paris after all.
I'm hearing the Kronies. They're Konnected!
I dreamed I was in an old friend's man-cave last night.... he was in there cavorting with the boys, music, big screen and lots of flashing lights. Alas he's in Heaven now, cashed out with HIV. Perhaps it was a glimpse of the Afterlife: if so, it was a little depressing. But it was nice to see him again..... he pops into my dreams sometimes for a visit.
Go forth and have a good day all, must prepare for work................
GO HAWKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
