I'm still laughing at what the Clear Channel news guys did a couple days ago. There was a weird story about a streaker landing through a lady's sun roof.
They played this for bumper music:

Work to back.

EEEOOOOOwwwWW!!! thanks! Good funk, good voices, and excellent dancing!!! :)

That reminds me of a lovely pin up guy I used to have in my locker. There's always some question about chicks in the Navy ....... anyway I found this guy who seriously was just a cute dude with a cute grin, in that identical outfit.... only no red bun huggers. Raincoat and hat and that was all! ............ flashing the camera with a very cute smile! Nicely trimmed beard, a handsome brunette, the Irish type. Looked like he had a good sense of humor!

Well, when the guys in the shop got a load of him on my locker door, they freaked out!!! (It was more a joke actually) so one of them with no taste found a very nasty woman for his locker. Poor photography too. I think it was finally requested that I take my pin up down (he WAS on the inside after all), I think they were jealous.

I hope I run across him again someday, I think he's in my files somewhere.

It is lonely in here. luna starts the conversations, and I end them. Maybe I should work on my people skills.

Hello?

I'm catching up on the Moog workshops I missed, as if anybody cares. I'm just rattling around in this empty carve.

I'm listening to ISOTLC. I was singing with SLM not too long ago, at work. Ask me if I care. I was in-tune, but I don't know how loud I was, as I just had to listen with both ear pods.

OK. I have ostracized myself. I don't have people skills, so somebody is going to help me learn the lively art of conversation while luna is gone. I didn't get the memo.

Hello?

Hel-lowwww !
Yes, I'm here and hover around from time to time. In a show of good faith, I'll post something I heard recently from Morten Harket, the former lead singer of a-ha:
@Luna, who took a song interpretation class if I recall, I would like to read your interpretation of this video:

Alo-HA!

I know you asked luna, but I'll comment since she is on the road, now. (Lucky her.) I really enjoyed that. The sounds are smooth, the harmonies nice.

As for the lyrics, I'm interpreting the song on two levels. He could be talking about a biological brother or a bro for whom he would go through anything because of love. More likely, though, he is talking about his Savior. I say that due to references to grace and a divine difference.

Theologically, I hear confusion. It sounds like he is mad at God for the mess called life. Rather than taking trials as necessary for spiritual growth, he seems to want to take his medicine lumps, while being a little teed off. If I interpret him correctly, he thinks an omnipotent God has gotten him wrong. Typically, when people come to me with complaints about their faith, it is not their faith that is on trial, but the weirdness in the philosophy of others that is confusing them. They need somebody else to tell them that whoever is preaching to them is in err, and they need to follow the true and living God.

So, yeah. Riches are OK, and there is no apology, and God is not going to punish anybody for worldly success. The problems come in the manner of acquisition and the stewardship. I think Harket fell victim to the line about blessings being evil. No. God wants us all to be successful, and when we are successful, we can help others.

That bit about standing Him down if he tries to turn his compass 'round is a little hard to take. He is saying, if I read him right, there is something in his life so valuable that he would second-guess the wisdom of an omniscient God. This is theological fallacy. Whenever you follow the promptings of the Spirit, things turn out unexpectedly wonderful - at least they do in my life.

Theologically again, the video reminded me of that old joke about "Don't make waves." I was also reminded about "The Shack," where Surahu was complimented when the hero told her the garden, which we learned later represented his life, was a mess. The point being, things down here look chaotic, but when we see the full picture, from the proverbial mile high, we will see were blind to the beautiful patterns playing out in the forest for the trees.

The video is good. The guy starts out in a pond of lily pads, which are among the most foul-smelling plants in nature, I believe. To his credit, Harket is showing he is willing to put up with a lot of guck for something, which I believe is love and commitment.

Well, there's a superficial scrape. I'll probably think about it throughout the next day or two. Thanks for sharing.

I'm just listening to the cars go by, now.

I was listening to "The Cello Song." I wonder why. Anyhoo, there is this dude who plays eight cellos. I would try to get Mike Dawes' sister to challenge him to do all that on one guitar, except the sound isn't all that much better than what one gets with one cello, I think.

I enjoyed the video nonetheless, because I never saw anybody use the cello percussively before, nor had I seen anybody play one like a guitar. I thought that was very cool. The antics were rather hilarious, too.

I started listening to Mike Dawes on YouTube. He was playing some pretty stuff. He's got more than a million hits on some of his vids, and he deserves them all. I got into a YouTube mix of all these kids with far more virtuosity than you would find Googling "guitar virtuoso," which I have done.

I am not a fan of drums, but I find it way cool to watch guys beat on their guitars. I don't know why. I just like seeing all the different things people can do with the instrument. I never knew about percussive techniques or tapping or anything like that until YouTube came along. Before that, I only thought of the guitar as being played like that guy was playing his cello up there.

I noticed two of the guys so far wore two hair bands on their wrist. Since I do that, can I learn to play as well as they?

This one's beyond tremendous:

The mix has the title "Mix - MIke Dawes - Boogie Slam (2013_ Solo Acoustic Guitar." I hope you find it. I looked so hard for this level of virtuosity. And to think, I found it via Justin Hayward.

When I got off work, I was driving down the road and saw "Brother" from a couple other perspectives. I"ve forgotten by now, but sometimes people change their forms of address during a song, and sometimes they change the person to whom they reference without saying so. Maybe Harket was telling an earthly bro that he would do anything to help him, but if the bro tried to mess his moral compass, he would not go along. That would be a very good lyric, indeed. I forgot the other one, and my brain is too fried. If I tried to jar my memory, I might poke a hole in it.

Justin's video reminded me of an impressive time lapse of the Asheville mountains showing lively plays of light. I think I found it, but I can't run it on this-har computer. I think this is the link:

.

Listening to those guitar guys yesterday was good for the soul. I was replaying rifs all night and thinking I could play them. I am so happy to have found amazing music and not having to try to get into stuff that is technically interesting but obnoxious or pretty and lame. Yay. Justin saved the day again.

I was listening to the justinhangwardhayout. I kept mashing buttons at inopportune times. I thought I would be able to hear every word if I were to head on over and stand just outside the door to the Resident's Proom at the Stalking Tick, but I couldn't get permission. Luna wanted me to tell everybody she is well and happy and says hi. She also wanted me to tell you , "If you are in a place where you barely get any sunshine, for example I live in Seattle and in ... Well, I don't think it is pale green or yellow, and it has been in it's current pot for a while." Not really. I'm just giving her a hard time. She needs to get a soda. Biyeeeeee!

I finished SOTWS a few minutes ago. I even listened to the extended dance version of "Icky Otts." I didn't know how to pronounce that.

Some parts of this are really nice, some are abrasive. But overall, I rate it highly:

I'm listening to "Spirits of the Western Sky." Then, I'm going to go over to TER and watch all the vids of the show. Then, I'm going to scream and had myself for not being in BC today.

The printer.

What did Justin say in Houston after the monologue about "One Day, Someday" being more truthful, wondering what he just said, the audience being patient to sit there wondering what he was thinking about what he just said, and all that? It sounded like, "The idiot answered."
