I'm not as seasonally-adjusted as y'all. I was listening to interviews from Spinal Tap. (Then I went to Twitter to find an interview of a person with a high media profile these days, and you would have thought she was one of them.)

I used to absolutely HATE "O Christmas Tree" ever since I could remember, until I heard this totally best ever rendition of O Tannenbaum, Evergreen... several years ago on Victoria Secrets, Winterscapes recording.
I will ALWAYS love this beautifully crafted composition!!

I rather like "Tannebaum" in German. Otherwise it sounds like a beer drinking song. I love the cat's version of "Oh Christmas Tree"

Myself, I feel revulsion at the original recording of "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree" I cannot stand the whiny voice of the lady singer. A bit like the song from Frozen.... it's actually a lovely song with worth but it was beat to death. I'm off to find a good song for you all.

I've decided I don't like massive orchestral sounds. I did really like the DOFP at the Hollywood Bowl, that was light and fluffy. Here's another light fluffy one, this kept going around in my head last night, along with the creme puffs in my gizzards

More light and fluffy

Heard this today on king.org, it was delightful driving through the snowy streets! I guess I spent too much time in dance studios when younger, but I love waltz time. The back story was Johann Strauss (Jr.) was on his honeymoon in Vienna when he wrote this... I got this marvelous image of Frank Lloyd Wright dancing through the Midway Gardens, chasing pretty women (he was a bit of a chicken chaser!)

I'm listening to my hairdryer to drown out a certain something here at work. I wish I were listening to the upbeat tunes from the '60s in the Moodies' bumper music. It all seems so far away, now.
